The theme “Merry journey”

The level of the pupils:Elementary

The aims of the lesson:

1. to revise all learning words and word combinations

2. to practice reading,  speaking and writing skills

3. to practice pronunciation

Skills to be emphasized:reading, speaking

Way of the lesson: nontraditional

Type of the lesson :mixed

The equipments of the lesson:

  1. Didactic equipments: (a blackboard, markers, pictures, songs, rhymes ).
  2. Technical equipments: computer, notebook, projector, screen.

                     Procedure of the lesson

  1. Greeting:

Teacher : Good morning,boys and girls !

Do you like travel ?

Children : Yes, we do.

Teacher: Very good! We`ll travel by train to the country where many doctors,teachers, animals, singers, breut and vegetables live. Look at the map, please. We can see many towns there

Let`s begin out travel.

Pupils take their seats and sing song.

“What a long long train it is today,it is today, it is today

Puff-puff, on we go, when we hear the whistle blow. ”

Teacher: Now we are in Doctor`s station.

We can see a snake and the Doctor.

Listen to them.

Snake: Good morning, doctor !

Doctor: Good morning snake ! What`s the matter ?

Snake: Doctor, help me, please ! I naven`t  friends. All animals afraid of me. I have bad pronunciation.I can say only Sh-Sh-Sh ; S-S-S.Give me some medicine.

Doctor: You needn`t any medicine. You must practice.

Teacher: Children, let`s help the snake.

Look at me, listen to me and repeat after me all together: (o-o-o), (s-s-s).

Snake: Thank you, children,for your helping me. Good –bye !

Children:Good bye. Snake ! Good bye, doctor !

Teacher: Let`s continue our journey.

Pupils take their seats and sing song.

“What a long long train it is today,it is today, it is today

Puff-puff, on we go, when we hear the whistle blow. ”

Teacher: And now children, we are at the Teacher`s station.  Answer my questions, please:

-What`s your name ?

-How old are you?

-Where do you live?

-How you got a family?

-What`s your father name?

-What`s your mother name?

-What colour is your bag?

-What subject do you like? etc

Teacher show the pictures:

-What is it?

Pupils answer the questions.

Teacher: Let`s count from 1 to ten

Pupils count: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.

Teacher: Let`s count from 10 to1

Pupils count: ten,…, one.

Teacher: Let`s do sums.(Teacher show card and pupils do sums)

e.g. 1+7=8 (one plus seven is eight)

5+6=

11-3=

3+1=

4-2=

9+2=

8-4=

12-6=

2+2+5=

             

    Teacher: Thank you. Let`s continue our journey.

  Pupils take their seats and sing song.

Neznayka: Children, I don`t know how to do my hometask. Help me, please.

Teacher: Children, let`s help Neznayka.

P3- This is a flower. It is red.

Teacher: Here`s the  Shop Station. Welcome to the shop.

Shop assistant : Good morning, children. I am a shop- assistant. We have many toys  in our shop.

Do you like toys. Who wants to buy the toys?

(Pupil by the toys)

Pupil: Give me this doll, please.

Shop assistant: Take the doll, please.

Pupil1 : Thank you.

Pupil 2- Give me that bear, please.

Shop assistant: Take the bear, please.

Pupil 2: Thank you. Good by.

Teacher: Children, take your toys and let`s go.    

   Pupils take their seats and sing song.

Puff-puff, on we go, when we hear the whistle blow. ”

Our journey is over. Good bye, children. See you soon.

And Dan`s horse is big.

Pupil 9:

Teddy`s jeans are blue,

Teddy`s jacket`s yellow.

Oh, Teddy`s such a fine fellow.

Pupil 10:

I see a big yellow lion,

What a big yellow lion!

What a lion! What a lion!

Pupil 11:

“Little Mouse, Little Mouse,

Will you come out of your house? ”

“Thank you, Pussy!” Says the Mouse,

“I won`t leave my little house.”


Pupil 12:

A pencils- box

I have many pencils:

Red, and green and blue,

I`ll draw a picture

And give it to you.


Teacher: Children, it`s time to return. Take your places, please.

Let`s go.
