 The theme : Work and Money.

 The aims: a) educational   to  introduce  the  grammar theme, to introduce the active words, to enrich pupils' vocabulary by reading the text and give some information about'' work and money''

b) developing to develop pupils` reading,speaking,auding,writing habits

c) cultural to teach pupils to love their future profession and to use money sparingly

The type of the lesson: mixed

The methods : explaining,speaking,discussing,comparing etc.

Visual aids : scheme,cards,CD

Interdisciplinary relation: Russian,Kazakh,Economy.

                                        The procedure of the lesson:

І. Organization moment

a)Greeting,checking up absentees

b)Checking-up home task. Ex.7 p153

c)Warm –up “Face to face”. Lesson№1 Review(Work and Free time)

ІІ. Beginning of the lesson.Explaining the new material

T: ‘Work and Money’

What factors are the most important for you in choosing your future profession?

`(Pupils will answer the teacher’s questions)

-money    -interesting,not boring

-useful to society              -good working condition

-flexible hours                  -opportunities to meet people

-friendly colleagues           -considerate management

-opportunities to travel                -long holidays

b)Vocabulary.Learning the new words

  1. Income [iŋkәm]-табыс 2.Fee [fi:]- қаламақы 3.Salary [sæləri]- жалақы 4.Wage [weidз]- еңбекақы
  2. 5.Bonus[bounәs]- сыйлық ақша   6. Scholarship [skolarʃip]- стипендия

III.Theoretical part.To explain the new material.

First of all, I`d like to find the difference between the words: work / job / profession.

  •  – means to have a job, to do the job that you are paid for.
  • – a job that needs a special education and training. If you want to get good profession you should study a lot.

Study the combination: by profession/choose smth as a profession.

Here are the examples: What is your mother by profession? Will you choose law as a profession?

  •  – the regular paid work that you do for an employer.

Study the expressions: get/find, take/accept, Saturday/summer/holiday job

Study the examples: Did you work a holiday job this summer?

An occupation – is a job or profession.
a)Writing .To do exercise 1.Fill in the blanks in each sentence with the words from the box above.

Salary, wage, bonus, scholarship, fee, income

IV. MONEY(Presentation)

Money is an important factor when people choose a job.

1st group: What are the best-paid jobs?

2nd group: What are the worst-paid jobs?

Working with posters and markers

A nurse in hospital, a minor in the coalmine, a shop assistant, a worker in a factory, a bank manager, a dentist, a schoolteacher, a professional footballer, a nuclear scientist, a coach driver, an engineer, a bus conductor

V. Reading. Ex.4. Read about two young people. They are in their first year at work

a)Good reading and translating

b)Pair work. Make up dialogue

c)Fill in this

VI.The game is called''I want to be a millionaire'' . Use the second conditional and don’t forget that you should start your own sentence from the previous one.
You should start your chain of events with the words:

If  I were a millionaire…                            I would buy a lottery ticket
If I won I million dollars in a                       I would buy an Island
lottery…
If I bought an Island…                               I would build a big house there
If I built a big house…                               I would have parties every day
If I had parties every day…                       I would invite all my friends
If I invited all my friends…                         I would spend all my money.

– It’s time to come to the conclusion. Let’s make a list of advantages and  disadvantages of money.
