Middle 25 min | Happy Birthday Teacher demonstrates flash cards with words on the topic “Birthday” and asks sts to repeat the words Teacher sticks all flash cards on the board and asks sts to close their eyes When sts close their eyes teacher turn one card over and asks sts to open their eyes and try to identify which word is missing (repeat 5-7 times) Teacher gives sts cards with words to stick into copybooks; sts stick cards and read words to themselves within a minute Teacher plays a video about a birthday party; sts watch the video and find objects relating to the topic Teacher plays the video for the second time with pauses in order to ask “What’s this?”; sts should answer “This is a cake. This is a friend. Etc. ” |
