Beginning | GREETING Teacher greets students; students respond to greeting and take their places. Hello, boys and girls! How are you? WARM UP Teacher asks and pupils answer the questions: What is your name? How old are you? Where are you from? What day is it today? What is the weather like today? What season is it now? Teacher introduces the topic of the lesson: The topic of the lesson is “Spring”. SINGING Pupils sing a “Phonics song”. | A ball | ||||||
Middle | INTRODUCTION Teacher elicits and pre-teaches spring words:birds, flowersbees rabbits leaves snow etc. Teacher gives learners worksheet of different images and ask learners to tick which ones are about springtime. READING Pupils look at the pictures of PPT with words and read after Teacher all the words in chorus: b-b-birds, f-f-flowers, b-b-bees, r-r-rabbits, l-l-leaves, s-s-snow. Pupils recognize pictures of PPT without words and name them. GROUPWORKING Teacher shows gestures to illustrate given words. One group shows their gestures,for example,for a flower. The other group has to guessand name the word. BREAK Listening to, learning and singing along to a simple song about spring. ( pupils move and show gestures) FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT Teacher reads four words and points to the picture.
