Beginning (5 minutes) | Teacher greets learners; students respond to greeting and take their places. Warming up Teacher asks leaners “How are you?” to find out their mood at the beginning of the lesson; learners say “I am happy/sad….etc.” Teacher introduces lesson objectives to the students. Students watch a video and sing a greeting song: Hello! Can you clap your hands? / Can you stretch up high?/ Can you touch your toes?/ Can you turn around?/ Can you say ‘Hello!’/ Can you stamp your feet?/ Can you clap your hands? | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN1Cyr0ZK9M VIDEO | |||
Middle (35 minutes) | Previous learning Learners look at the pictures and name types of fruits Presentation and practice Listen, point and repeat. Pupil’s books closed. Teacher puts posters “Musical instruments’’ on the board. Teacher points to each musical instruments and present them. Learners repeat chorally and individually. Then then the teacher points each instrument in random order and asks learners. Pupil’s books opened. Teacher plays the CD. The learners listen, point to the pictures and repeat. Ex.1,p.74 Colour.
