I . Today we’ll speak about adverts, about their role in our life, about attitude of people to this problem.
Now in groups you’ll prepare some questions for your survey to find out the
people’s attitude to adverts. Design the results in the form of graph.
1 group. “What is your attitude to the advert ?”
2 group. “What do you think about advert ?”
II. Sum up the results of your survey, draw the graph to illustrate the people’s
opinions.
1 group. During our survey we have got such results:
80% of students hate watching adverts.
70% of students can’t stand any kinds of adverts.
10% don’t mind adverts.
As we see the majority of students have negative attitude to the adverts.
Small part of students express neutral attitude.
Our graph is vivid confirmation of this.
2 group. Completing the questionnaire people showed their attitude to the
advert.
III. Will you comment these results?
1 group advantages of advert.
2 group disadvantages of advert.
P-s. It’s awful when the film is interrupted by an advert.
Advert is a form of art. Some adverts are amusing and colorful.
Without adverts it’s rather difficult to make the right choice buying something.
IV. Will you demonstrate the influence of advert.
(work in groups)
1 group advertises the washing powder.
2 group advertises the vacuum cleaner.
How do you like these things?
Would you like to buy anything?
Do you like the prize?
Will you bargain?
V. Let’s listen to the record about the ways of bargaining and you’ll choose the
best strategy for bargaining.
1 group. We’ll be friendly but firm and confident.
2 group. We’ll try to reduce the prize saying that we don’t have enough money.
VI. Use your strategy in practice and show your ability for bargaining.
