The theme: Healthy food day 
The aims of the lesson: 
1) to enlarge pupil’s vocabulary, to speak about food and drinks; 
2) to develop pupils’ skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, to understand oral speech; 
3) to develop the interest to English language, to teach pupils to respect each other and the culture of other nations, bring up them to love English language; 
The type of the lesson: mixed lesson
The kind of the lesson: demonstration lesson 
Visual aids: pictures, cards, an interactive board. 

                                             Procedure of the lesson

I. Organization moment
               а) Greeting 
T: Good afternoon, pupils! 
P: Good afternoon, teacher! 

               b) Warm-up 
 Divide these words into three groups. Give a name to each group.

II. Checking up the home task
 Let’s check your home task. 
I’ll show you cards with verbs, you should read, translate and say past forms of the verbs.

This apple is delicious. Those apples are bad.

Two people talk about the types of food they love and what cuisines they prefer.

What's my favorite food? Well, these days I really love fruit, especially grapes and I also like avocados. I don't really go for green apples though. They usually taste too sour. In the past I liked Italian food but these days I'm trying to be more healthy so I cut that out. 
1. What does Barbara eat often?

2. What food does she not enjoy eating? 
a)Italian food          b)green apples                 c)tomatoes 

                                Simone, Sweden 
 What's my favorite food? I don't really have any favorite food. I like guoza. It's the Japanese dumpling. I can never stop eating that. I guess that's my favorite food. 
1. What Japanese food does she like? 
a)guoza                 b)yakisoba                     c)okonomiyaki 
2. What does she say about this food? 
a)She eats it every day.          b)She can’t get it in Sweden.         c)She can’t stop eating it. 

IX. Reading. 
Read, translate and guess what fruit is it? 
- OK, this fruit is big. It's round. It's pretty heavy. Usually, it's green on the outside. It's hard on the outside but very soft on the inside. You need to cut it before you can eat it. 
X. Writing
Match the questions with the answers
1. How many carrots do you have in your basket?             a. There are 2 pears. 
2. How much are the tomatoes?                                          b. It’s five dollars. 
3. How many pears are there?                                             c. They are two dollars a kilo. 
4. How many apples do we have?                                       d. I have seven carrots. 
5. How much is chicken?                                                     e. We can see two sausages. 
6. How many sausages can you see in the fridge?               f. We have twelve apples.

- OK, this fruit is soft on the outside and soft of the inside and you must peel it or cut it before you eat it. Usually people peel it with their hands before they eat it. It's round and it comes from a tree and you can use it to make juice. 
- OK, this fruit is small and you can peel it but most people don't. You can cut it but most people don't. This fruit you pick and throw in your mouth and eat. It's very easy, maybe the easiest fruit to eat of all fruits.
