Социокультурный аспект – знакомство с достопримечательностями Лондона;

1. Организационный момент.
Teacher (T): Good morning, children. I am glad to see you. I think you are ready to begin the lesson. At the lesson we’ll speak about this topic. What is it? We’ll try to guess but now let’s do the task

London London is the capital of the UK. It is the biggest city in Britain and in Europe. London is an ancient city. Millions of tourists come to London every year to see its famous sights, for example: the Tower of London and St. Paul`s Cathedral.The Houses of Parliament, the seat of the British Government, are very popular with tourists, too. The towers of the Houses of Parliament stand very high above the city. On the highest tower there is the largest clock in the country, Big Ben. Big Ben strikes every hour. The heart of London is Trafalgar Square. It is in the very centre of the city. There are many museums, art galleries and stadiums in London. It`s also famous for its beautiful parks, for example St. James`s Park. It lies in front of Buckingham palace, the place where the queen lives. If you come here, one day would be never enough to see even a 10th part of this fantastic city. |
