Название урока: Экскурсия по Лондону

Цель урока: систематизировать и закрепить полученные лексические навыки по теме: «Какие достопримечательности Лондона ты хотел бы посетить?»

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

1.   обобщение лексического материала по теме "Discovering places of interest",

2.   развитие навыков говорения, аудирования (ответы на вопросы), чтения и письма по теме.

Развивающие:

1.   развитие коммуникативных навыков по теме " Discovering places of interest ",

2.   развитие творческих способностей учащихся,

3.   развитие памяти, внимания и мышления,

4.   развитие умения обобщать и делать выводы.

Воспитательные:

1.   воспитание культуры страны изучаемого языка,

2.   воспитание умения работать в сотрудничестве.

Форма урока: урок-путешествие.

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийный проектор, раздаточный материал (текст, картинки с достопримечательностями, оценочные карточки), учебник «Enjoy English 5 класс» М.З.Биболетова, О.А.Денисенко, Н.Н. Трубанева

LONDON: PLACES OF INTEREST

There are a lot of places of interest in London.Among them are: Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, London Bridge, the Tower of London.

Westminster Abbey is a symbol of England. It was built by King Edward in 1065, but a week later the King died and was buried in the Abbey. Today, Westminster is a working church and a great monument to the history of England.

The Houses of Parliament were built after the old palace burnt down in 1834.The building contains the Houses of Commons and the Houses of Lords. On the corner next to Westminster Bridge stands St.Stephen’s Tower, which houses the famous bell. A light at the top of the tower at night indicates that the parliament is sitting.

Buckingham Palace is the Queen’s official London residence. When the Queen is in London, we can see the flag on the top of the palace. There are more than 600 rooms in the palace and the royal family has got a cinema and a swimming pool. Everyone wanted to see the Changing the Guard and their huge fur hats.

The Tower of London has a very old, cruel and bloody history: blood of men, women and even children. It was a fortress, a royal palace and a prison for important people.Today, it’s a museum. Special guards, Beefeaters, look after the Tower and take care of the black ravens that live there. There is an ancient legend that the Tower and Great Britain will fall if the ravens ever leave the fortress.
