Good morning, children!

Sit down please!

Ok. Who is on duty today? I’m on duty today

What date is it today? Today is The ....

Who is absent? All present.

Today the theme of our lesson: “Animals”. Today we will to introduce the new theme, new words on the theme “Animals” and today lesson-game. Write down the date and our theme. Now, begin our lesson.

  1. Checking of knowledge.



  1. Phonetic exercise.

First of all let's revise sounds: So, listen to me and repeat:

Look at the screen in the presentation, please.


  • [æ] — natural, catch, habit, hamster;

  • [ei] — cage, save, nature;

  • [ai] — fight, kind, wild, life ;

  • [ŋ] — wing, jumping, joining;

  • [aiə] — Society,scientist, giant;

  1. New theme

Let’s continuo the theme: Animals. And now to devoted into two groups: First group –lion, second group – tiger.

  1. At the beginning looks at the presentation, in the presentation about animals of our planet.

  1. And now let’s start do exercise.

First exercise: Make up the cluster on short text and present it. Assessment

A lot of animals are in danger. Let’s work in two groups. Make the posters and tell your stories about some animals from the Red Book. Use the plan from the blackboard.

Elephant

Elephant lives in African and Indian jungles. It is a large grey animal. Their tusks can be 3 meters long. Its weight is about 4 tons. Elephants have very long nose called a trunk. Elephant's trunk helps him to get the leaves from the trees, get food, get water. There were 300 species of elephant everywhere. Today only 1 million elephants live on the planet. They need a lot of water. After they have had enough to drink, they fill their trunks and spray their bodies. Leaving the water animals join small family groups resting under the trees. They rest only during the hottest part of the time. They have the biggest appetite. In fact they spend about 16 hours a day eating. Their diet consists of leaves, grass, and fruits. They are wonderful, intelligent animals. They can help people.


Panda

Panda lives in bamboo forests of central China. It has a black and white coat that features large black patches around its eyes. Panda is an endangered species. There are only about 1,000 wild giant pandas left in the world.  Giant pandas are members of the bear family, and they are mammals. Even though giant pandas look just like bears, they certainly do not behave like bears.

Adult panda can weigh up to 150 kg. Giant panda have a lifespan of around 20 years in the wild.

The diet of a panda is made up almost entirely of bamboo. Giant panda eat as much as 10 kg of bamboo a day.

Giant panda is a good climber. Bamboo also serves as their shelter in the wild, as panda lives in the cold bamboo rain forests in China. People cut down bamboo trees because of farms, roads and industrial area.


The second exercise: I give you some sentences about animals and you must say the information about it.

  6. The elephant can splash itself with water.

  8. The lion is the king of the jungle.

  9. The zebra has black and blue strips.

  10. The tortoise has a shell.

Fourth exercise: what animals do you know? Solve the crossword.

For well-advanced pupil give the task- make up the test.
