Theme: Step 3.Which room do you like?

The aims of the lesson:

                                   1.To extend pupils knowledge about “there is ”and “there are”. To explain their using in sentences. To study the new theme, new  words and practice them in pupils speech.

                                    2.To develop pupils skills and habits in understanding, reading and oral speech.

                                    3. To teach pupils to do things in time.

The type of the lesson: Mixed

The kind of the lesson: Competition

Connection of the lesson: Kazakh, Russian

Method of teaching: question-answer, match, work with groups, games.

Visual aids: pictures, cards, toys, inter-active board.

             Procedure of the lesson

I. Organization moment.

1. Make greeting.

- Good afternoon, pupils!

- Good afternoon, teacher!

-Thank you pupils! Sit down.

2. Report of the pupil on duty.

3. Checking up homework.Exercise:

4. Warm-up activity.

  Exercise:1 Match the pictures with words in the box.

II. Introduction, explanation of new material.

 -So, pupils before our lesson, I would like you two groups. Do you like fruit?

 -Yes, we like fruit.

 - I like fruit.

 -Why do you like fruit?

 -We like fruits, because they are sweet. There are many vitamins.

 -If you like fruit I,ll give their names. First group - Apples. Second group Grapes.

 I,ll give you tasks and each right answer you,ll take apples and grapes pictures.

    Exercise:2    For : Apples

What do you do in your living room?

I read books.

I read newspapers.

I watch TV.

I listen to music.

I relax in my living room.

I talk to my family.

I play chess.

    Exercise: 4. For: Grapes

What do you do in your kitchen?

I have breakfast. I have lunch. I have dinner with my family. I have supper.

I cook dinner.

I wash up dishes.

I listen to music.

I drink  some lemonade.

  Exercise: 3.Write the words.

  Exercise: 5.Which room do you like? Why?

Example: I like my room because … …

I relax in my room.

I read books.

I talk to my family.

I learn English, etc.

   Exercise: 6.Prepositions:

In- ішінде              behind- артында         over- ?стінде, жо?ары

On- ?стінде                   next to- жанында         near-жанында

Under- астында            in front of- алдында        at- жанында

 Describe your  bedroom and a living room.

There is a bed in my living room.

There are pillows on the bed.

There is a carpet on the floor.

There are books under the chair.

There isn,t a table in my bedroom.

There aren,t any armchairs in the bedroom.

-Now pupils let us play game with the interactive board. Game Macmillan.

     Exercise:10

Dialogue for two groups.

III. Conclusion part.

Let us check our knowledge about “ there is” and “there are”. There are two houses for two groups: First house is a modern and big house. Second house is a national, traditional house- Kiyiz yu.

What are there  in the houses? You,ll give questions each other both groups.

Is there a sofa?

Are there armchairs?

Are there beds?

Game: Is there a …?

           Are there …?

1.Marks for lesson.

-Thank you for your active presence. Your marks are good and excellent.

2. Homework. Your homework will be exercise:13. Write about your dream house or flat.

3. The end of the lesson.

-Good-bye, pupils! See you on Wednesday.
