Theme of the lesson: “What do you do for fun?”

The aim of the lesson:

  • Educational – to revise lexic and the grammar theme The Past Perfect Tense.
  • Developmental – to develop pupils’ mind and memory, to develop their interest to the language.
  • Pedagogicalto teach children to listen to each other.

The type of the lesson: Lessons of systematization and revision of knowledge.

Methods of the lesson:

Illustrative,

Materials: cards, schemes.

 

The lesson.

I. The beginning of the lesson.

1. Organizational moment.

  • The greeting.
  • The aims of the lesson:

 

“Today we shall continue to speak about activities what people do for fun. We shall revise grammar theme The Past Perfect Tense, and revise lexic”.

 

2. Speech warming-up.

  • Answer the questions.

 

What date is it today?

What day of the week is it today?

What do you do for fun?

 

3. Phonetic warming-up.

  • Reading of the teacher.
  • Translation.
  • Name all the words with the sound.
  • Reading in choroes of the words with the sound.
  • Reading of the whole phonetic warming-up with the teacher.
  • Reading of the pupils.
  • Say by heart.

 

When curiosity is alive, we are attracted to many things; we discover many worlds.

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.

II. The main part of the lesson.

  1. Checking hometask:
    • Answer the question about the text.
    • Retelling of the text.
    • The lexic:

Back translation of the words. Work in teams. You will win if you name more words write.

  • Ask the word each other.
  • Ask the words for the mark. (3 pupils)

 

  1. The revision of the lexic.
  • Find 8 words. Name them and translate them.

  5. They (buy)  their car two years ago.
  6. I (see / not)  anyone yet.
  7. Phil (go / not)  to the cinema last night.
  8. We (be / not)  to the zoo so far.
  9. She (arrive / not)  yet.
  10. Emily (visit / not)  me last week.

 

  1. The work with the text. Ex.6 p.37
    • Read.
    • Find the words by its translation and read them.
    • Ex.12 p.41 – help the teenagers of this quiet town. Write a letter. The phrases below may help you.

 

III. The end of the lesson.

  1. The home – task: make up 10 sentences in Past Perfect Tense, words for the quiz.
  2. Marks for the lesson
  3. The results of the lesson
