«Ourpets»

Тема урока: «Ourpets»
Тип урока: урок обобщения и систематизации предметных знаний, умений, навыков.
Класс: 6
Планируемые результаты:
Предметные: самостоятельно планировать и выполнять свои действия на знакомом учебном материале, выполнять действия в сотрудничестве с учителем по предложенному плану; предмет изучения: лексический материал по теме; формировать умение высказываться на английском языке через речевые образцы, используя известные грамматические структуры и лексические единицы, научиться употреблять в речи конструкцию "have got"
Метапредметные: развитие общего лингвистического кругозора, овладение навыками смыслового чтения, усвоение общеучебных умений и универсальных познавательных действий, к которым относится извлечение информации из материалов на печатных носителях.
Личностные: формирование системы знаний и представлений о мире как о многоязычном и поликультурном сообществе, воспитание потребности в практическом использовании английского языка, осознание чувства доброты и любви к животным и окружающему миру.
Ход урока.

Let’s start our lesson.

Children, at first I want you to look at the screen and see a short video.
Now how do you think what we are going to talk about today, what is the theme of the lesson? Right you are! We’re going to talk about pets.

Now I’d like you to remember what animals people often keep as their pets.
Read the descriptions and guess the pets.
1. This pet can be small and big. Its colours can be different: red, black, grey, white and so on. It likes to bark and walk with his master. It is the best friend to people.

2. This pet is soft and fluffy. It can be different colours too. It has got sharp teeth and claws. It likes to hunt little birds and mice. It likes milk and fish. (a cat)
3. This pet is very small. It often lives in cages. Its life is short, but happy. It likes corn, bread and vegetables… (a hamster)
4. This pet is very small. It has a tail. It also has fins and big eyes. It lives in a bowl. It can swim. (a fish)
5. This pet has got four legs and a tail. It has no teeth. It likes grass and vegetables. It can swim and dive underwater. It carries its house around with it. (a turtle)

So, people have different animals as their pets. Let’s remember these word combinations and then use them to talk about your pets.

Having a pet is not as easy as it seems
And what animals have you got? How do you care of them? What do you think about having a pet?
Some of your classmates prepared projects about their pets. Let’ listen to them.

Despite the fact that having a pet is not as easy as it seems and takes a lot of time and energy, a lot of people have pets and love to spend their time together. Look at these pictures and try to describe them.
