The theme of the lesson : "How is the weather in…?"

The aims of the lesson:

Educational: introducing and practicing new vocabulary; revising grammar material Present Continuous

Developing : developing the motivation for learning, the skills of speaking, reading, listening, thinking.

Upbringing : bringing up careful attitude for nature; teaching how to work in groups, in pairs and how to rate yourselves.

Expected results:

Students will able to use new vocabulary in their speech, know how to make sentences in Present Continuous. Students will able to work in groups, rate themselves and their mates. Students know how to describe the weather.

Students remember the poem and try to recite the poem , using the first letters of each words.

IV. Work in pairs

Weather forecast

Look at the b/b , you can see the cities : Astana, London, Almaty, New York.

Ask about the weather.

Students ask and answer each other about the weather.

-What’s the weather like in Astana?

-It’s frosty and sunny.

V. Work in groups

I’ll give you the envelopes with the texts and pictures and you’ll have to create your posters, putting the texts in right order.

Students try to understand the parts of the text and put them in right order.
