The theme of the  lesson : What colour is your cat?

Aims :    1. to teach pupils to work creatively and introduce new words,

             2. expressions according to the theme,

             3. to develop their thinking abilities and speaking in English –

                 to be able to talk about colours.

Type of the lesson: combine lesson 

Materials: class book, work book, pictures, cards, Interactive board, crossword.

The course of lesson:

I. Organization moment: 

1.Teacher: Good afternoon, dear children & dear guests! I’m glad to see you! Today  is an unusual lesson, because we have a lot of  guests. They want to see if   you know English well, how you  read, speak, write, listen. You  should be today more attentive. 
Teacher: How are you? 
Teacher: I’m fine too. Take your seats. 
Teacher: What is the weather like today? 
Teacher: What date is it today? 
Teacher: What day of the week is it today? 
Teacher: Children, tell me please, who is absent today? 
Teacher: Our theme for today’s lesson is : What colour is your cat?

-So, children! before starting the lesson let's phonetic exercises. I first read, you listen carefully, and then repeat all together.

 – So, began!

2. phonetic exercise:

I see green, I see yellow,
I see that funny fellow,
I see white, I see black,
I see this and that, and that.
I see pink, I see brown,
I stand up and I sit down.
I see red, I see blue,
I see you and you, and you.

II)checking homework

- Children, what was the home task?

Ex :10 write, p 67.and learn dialogue at p 65.

- Now children, let's invent themselves dialogue with me.

- who is brave? do not be afraid,  to try!

-So good Nastya! Go to the blackboard!

- Others listen attentively!, Ok?

III. Presentation:

1.New lexis. Work with vocabulary

-First we go through the new vocabulary. look at the board, I read, you listen, then repeat all together for me

brown  [ bra?n ]  коричневый

Orange  [ ??r?nd? ]  оранжевый

Black   [ blæk ]   черный

Violet  [ ?va??.l?t ]   фиолетовый

Green   [ ?ri?n ]   зеленый

Blue  [ blu? ]   синий

Beige  [ be?d? ]   бежевый

Yellow  [ ?jel?? ]   желтый

Grey  [ ?re? ]  серый

Pink  [ p??k ]   розовый

White   [ wa?t ]   белый

Red  [ red ]  красный

 

IV. Practice

1.  Work with book. Speaking:

- Now children, open your book to page 68, I read a dialogue, translated, and you follow me, for the repeat all together.

- Hello, Colin.

-Hello, Carol.

-Hi.

-Hi.

-Have you got pets?

-Yes, we have got a dog and a cat. Have you?

-No, we haven’t. What colour is your cat?

-It’s black and white.

-What colour are its eyes?

-They’re brown

2. Writing.

-So, children, look at the blackboard. Read the sentence and write down in a notebook.

 Have you got a cat, dog, fox?

 Yes, I have.

What colour is your cat?

It is   (black). ()(white).

(orange).

Game with toy box.

Answer questions:
1.What colour is your hair?
2.What colour are your eyes?
3.What colour is your T-shirt?
4.What colour is your dress?

5.What colour is your blouse?

V. Giving up of the home task

Ex. 10, p. 69

VI. Conclusion

-We have finished our lesson. We have spoken about colours. You all were very active today.

-Thank you for your hard work. Your marks for today's lesson are ………….
