I. Greetings. Introduce yourself. /Ой?оз?ау/
- Good morning children. I am glad to see you. I have a flower – daisy – in my hand. You will tear off one of the petals, there is a question on it, read it and answer the question.

Group A: Steffi Graf
Steffi Graf, a famous tennis player, was born in Germany in 1969. After turning professional at the age of 13, she won her first major tournament in 1986 and became the world’s number 1 a year later. In 1988 she became the first woman since 1970 to win “the Grand Slam” (Wimbeldon, the US, Australian and French Open Tournaments). She has won over 100 titles in her career and earned up to 20 million dollars. She remained the world’s number 1 throughout 1996 and 1997.
Group B: Todd Marinovich
Todd Marinovich is an American football star. In childhood when all his friends were eating hamburgers, hot dogs and chocolate and drinking Coke, Todd Marinovich was not. He had never drunk or eaten such things since he was born. When Todd was born, his father decided to create a football star and he was strict about his career.
Group C: IliyaIliyn
Iliya Iliyin is a Kazakh weight-lifter star. He was born in 1988 in Kyzylorda. His mother and father are actors. They wanted their son to be a sport star. He won his first prize in Semei when he was 13.
He was in tournaments in Semei, Qatar – Doha, China, Beijing, Paris and the last Olympic Games in London he became twice Olympic champion. He lifted 418 kg there.
Group D: The first Olympic games
The first Olympic Games took place in Greece more than two thousand and seven hundred years ago. According to the legend Hercules was the founder of the first Olympic games were held in Athens in 1896. Since then the games have been regularly held in different countries of the world.
The capitals of many countries have been Olympic cities – Athens, London, Berlin, Helsinki, Rome, Tokyo, Mexico, Montreal and some others.

Olga Rypakova
Is a Kazakhstan track and field athlete. Her first successes came in the combined events at Asian competitions – she won the women's pentathlon at the 2005 Asian Indoor Games and took the heptathlon gold at the 2006 Asian Games the following year.
She competed in both jumping events at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and finished fourth in the triple jump with an Asian record of 15.11 metres. Rypakova has represented Kazakhstan at the 2007 and 2009
World Championships in Athletics. She reached the world podium for the first time at the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships, where she took gold with an Asian indoor record jump of 15.14 m. She won the gold medal in triple jump at the 2012 London Olympics
Zulfiya Chinshanlo.
Kazakhstan weight-lifter, won the Gold medal in 2012 London Games. Chinshanlo became the world champion in Paris in November 2011. The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev congratulated the athlete via a telegram after the tournament. “It was a great honor both for me and my coach. The telegram contained congratulations and words of gratitude for our hard work, and said that our country was proud of our victory,” Chinshanlo added.

Maya Maneza (born November 1, 1985) is a Kazakhstani weightlifter. She won the gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 63 kg category lifting a combined weight of 245 kg. She established a new Olympic Record in the process.
Maiya is a member of the ethnic Dungan minority. Born in China, she moved to Kazakhstan in 2007 and competes for Kazakhstan
