Данная работа была разработана ученицей 4 класса и учителем английского языка. можно использовать во время уроков по теме "Спорт". Далее краткое описание на английском языке: The aim of the work is investigation sport kinds in the USA and Russia. This year were held the Olympic games, that’s why our theme is very actual. Sports play an important part in our life, also the best and the shortest way to health. Today increasing number of people are involved in activities that help them keep fit and enjoy life. At first I want to tell you about sport in the USA. American go in for such sports activities as fishing, jogging, gymnastics, swimming, tennis, marathons, track and field, bowling, archery, skiing, skating, squash and badminton. But the four major American sports are hockey, baseball, football and basketball. American schools and colleges use sports activities as a way of teaching social values. In Russia many sports are popular. They are: hockey, soccer, weightlifting, track and field, tennis, basketball, volleyball, boxing, figure-skating, cross-country skiing, swimming, judo and shooting. Also all water sports are very popular in our country. Much attention is paid to organized sports and this shouldn’t overshadow the many sporting activities which are a part of daily Russian life. Having observed all kind of sport in both countries, we tried to investigate the similarity and difference in it. As you can see there are a lot of similar kinds of sport. Due to it we come to the conclusion that the large choice of sports in the USA and Russia can be explained by the variety and size of the country, its different climates and the people’s love of competitions of any type. Also some Russian sports were borrowed from the American ones such as badminton, football, hockey, tennis.

At first I want to tell you about sport in the USA. American go in for such sports activities as fishing, jogging, gymnastics, swimming, tennis, marathons, track and field, bowling, archery, skiing, skating, squash and badminton. But the four major American sports are hockey, baseball, football and basketball. American schools and colleges use sports activities as a way of teaching social values.

Also all water sports are very popular in our country. Much attention is paid to organized sports and this shouldn’t overshadow the many sporting activities which are a part of daily Russian life.
