T: Today our lesson is about music. We’II revise everything you know about music. Music can’t be without songs. Do you remember the song “I like jazz”?

T: We see people like different kind of music. What kind of music do you like?
T: I’d like to open your festival of music? Here we can see guests from different countries. Do you know what kinds of music appeared first long ago?
P1: Folk music
- T: Right you are. Folk music invented many years ago. We live in Chukotka and folk music of Chukchi people is very dear to us. We have a person? Who will tell us about it.

P1: The Chukchi music appeared long ago. It’s nice and sweet.
T: We have some other guests from other countries. They are going to speak about their favorite music

P2: I’m from Wales. The Welsh music is very old. Listening to it music we can imagine the country I live in.
T: The other guest is from Ireland. We know that the Irish people like to dance to their folk music.

P3: People from our country are very kind, they like dancing to the Irish folk music. These dances are very unusual and are called jig.
T: What kind of music appeared in the 17th century?
P4: Classic music.

P6: Classical music makes us think about our life. Only this kind of music makes us feel better.

T: We live in the 21st century and people like new styles of music.

T: Songs we like to sing songs, we like to dance to, songs are popular with many of us are pop.

Do you know that until two hundred years ago there was no such instrument as a saxophone?
It was invented by a Belgian musician Adolph Sax, who was born in 1814.
Adolph’s farther was a marker of musical instrument. When Adolph was a little boy he helped his father in the workshop.
When Adolph grew up, he became a maker of musical instruments like his father.
About 1842 he invented a new instrument which was called saxophone. Soon Sax became popular. It’s often played today.
