Методическая разработка открытого занятия по учебной дисциплине ОДБ4 Иностранный язык.

Группа: ТПОП 1/9-15

Тема: Путешествие на поезде

Цели:

методическая: усовершенствовать методику проведения практического занятия с использованием игровых технологий для активизации мыслительной деятельности студентов.

дидактическая: систематизировать и обобщить языковые знания и умения во всех видах языковой деятельности (чтение, аудирование, письмо, говорение) , расширить словарный запас; развивать  навыки диалогической речи, умение работать самостоятельно и в команде, формировать умение составлять и защищать презентацию.

воспитательная: формировать осознанное, уважительное и доброжелательное отношение к другому человеку, его мнению; формировать познавательные интересы к культуре англоговорящих стран; знакомить с реалиями стран изучаемого языка.

Тип занятия: практическое занятие.

Вид занятия: систематизация и обобщение знаний.

Ход занятия:

1.Организационный момент. (3 минуты)

1.1.Приветствие студентов.

Teacher/Students

Teacher: Good afternoon! I’m glad to see you. I hope you are fine today. Are you OK?

S: Fine, thank you.

T: Who is on duty today?

S: I’m on duty today.

T: Is anybody absent today?

S: All are present./….. is absent. He(She) is ill.

(Преподаватель приветствует студентов, интересуется их самочувствием и отмечает отсутствующих .)

Teacher: So, if you are fine and all are present, let’s start our work. Don’t forget that I’m going to evaluate your work during the lesson. At the end of it we’ll sum up all your results and you’ll get your marks. Work as hard as you can.Appendix №1.

2.Проверка домашнего задания. (10 минут)

2.1.Фронтальный устный опрос.

Teacher: Previous lesson we had the trip on Lake Baikal. We have learnt vocabulary, read the text and asked questions.

T: Will you, please, remind me what was your home task for today?

S: Our home task for today’s lesson was to divide into two groups and make the presentations about “Lake Baikal” using the information from the text on page 7.

(Для выполнения домашнего задания студенты должны были разделиться на две группы и подготовить презентации об Озеро Байкал, используя прочитанную информацию из текста..При выступлении каждой команды будут оцениваться правильность эмоциональность, содержательность и грамматность.)

Teacher: Right you are. Before watching your presentations, let’s look through the text “Lake Baikal” one more and revise the vocabulary of it. I’m going to tell you words in Russian and you are to translate them into English. Appendix№ 2.Your answers will be assessed according to the criteria in the chart. Your answers must be expressive, clear and grammatically correct.

Teacher: Now look at the screen. You’ll see some pictures and photos there. Try to predict the theme of our lesson.

S1: I think the topic of our lesson is travelling.

S2: I believe that the topic of our lesson is travelling by train because there were lots of pictures and photos of different railway stations, trains and beautiful views from the windows.

Teacher: You’re absolutely right. The subject of our lesson is “Travelling by train”. Today we ‘ll speak about travelling by train , watch video “Boarding the train”, learn new vocabulary and of course play the game. And finally, at the end of the lesson you’ll fill some table:”Words web”.

4.Ознакомление студентов с планом занятия. (2 минуты)

Teacher: Let’s follow such order in our work today:

5.Мотивация учебной деятельности . ( 3минуты)

Teacher: Thanks .All of you are right. Travelling ... What for?

Every year a lot of people all over the world spend their holidays travelling. For many of them travelling is the most important event in the year. People travel the globe to see other countries and continents, modern cities and the ruins of ancient towns, they travel to enjoy picturesque places, or just for a change of scene. The tourist industry will soon be the largest industry in the world. Tourism has been industrialized: landscapes, cultures and cuisines are consumer goods display in travel leaflets. In recent years tourism has really taken off. Today people have lots of good reasons to travel. Travelling has always been a part of people’s education. The best way to study geography is to travel and the best way to get to know and understand the traditions and customs of different people is to speak to them. Besides, travelling is a good way to practice foreign languages. Thousands of people can travel by air, by rail, by see or by boat. To my mind travelling by train is more interesting. You can see interesting places of the country you are travelling through. Modern trains have very comfortable seats. There are also sleeping carriages and a dining- carriage which make even the longest journey enjoyable.

(Каждый год много людей путешествует по всему миру. Для них путешествие является самым главным событием года. Цель путешествий у всех разная. Одни хотят посмотреть достопримечательности, другие запечатлеть древние города и страны, а есть и такие , которые путешествуют ради смены обстановки. Путешествие всегда было частью человеческого образования. Самый лучший способ выучить географию, познакомиться с традициями и обычаями посещаемой страны- это путешествие. Кроме того, благодаря путешествию ,можно улучшить свои знания иностранного языка. Сотни людей могут путешествовать на самолёте, на поезде, на пароходе или на машине. По-моему путешествие поездом интереснее. Вы можете посмотреть интересные места страны по которой вы проезжаете. Современные поезда оснащены очень комфортабельными креслами. Спальные вагоны и вагон-ресторан могут сделать даже самое длинное путешествие -увлекательным.)

6.Актуализация опорных знаний. (10 минут)

6.1. Устный опрос.

Teacher: Thank’s. Now, answer my question: “ Do you like travelling?”

(Студенты высказывают своё мнение по этому вопросу.)

S 1: Almost all people are fond of travelling. It is very interesting to see new places, another towns and countries. People may travel either for pleasure or on business. There are various means of travelling.

S2:For me there is nothing like travel by air; it is more comfortable, more convenient and, of course, far quicker than any other means. There is none of the dust and dirt of a railway or car journey, none of the trouble of changing from train to steamer and then to another train.

S.3.With a train you have speed, comfort and pleasure combined. From the comfortable seat of a railway carriage you have a splendid view of the whole countryside

S.4.Travelling by ship is also very popular now. It is very pleasant to feel the deck of the ship under the feet, to see the rise and fall of the waves, to feel the fresh sea and hear the cry of the seagulls.

S.5.Many people like to travel by car. It is interesting too, because you can see many sights in a short time, you can stop when and where you like, you do not have to buy tickets or carry your suitcases.

S.6.A very popular means of travelling is hiking. It is travelling on foot. Walking tours are very interesting. Hitch-hiking is a very popular method of travelling among young people. But it is not as popular in our country as abroad.

Teacher:Good. You see :''Tastes are differ”. Let’s revise words and expressions we have learnt on the topic “Travelling”. Now you will receive sheets of paper with the task. You are to fill in the gaps with the proper word-combinations. Read the sentences one by one and translate them. You have 5 minutes. Appendix № 3.

( На карточках студенты заполняют пропуски подходящими по смыслу словосочетаниями. Зачитывают предложения по одному и переводят. На выполнение отводится 5 минут. Приложение№3.)

7.Систематизация знаний студентов. (5 минут)

7.1.Знакомство с новыми лексическими единицами и конструкциями по теме «Путешествие на поезде». Просмотр видео «Посадка на поезд».

Teacher: We continue our acquaintance with the topic “Travelling”. I want you to watch the dialogue “At the railway station”. We are going to watch it twice. Listen to the conversation attentively. Repeat new words after the speaker and write words down .

7.2.Фронтальный устный опрос. Активизация изученной лексики.

Teacher: Well, watch and listen it one more. You may do some notes into your copy-books which help you to ask and answer the questions to each other. Ok, it’s time to show how well you understand the active vocabulary. You have 10 minutes.

7.3.Работа с текстом и выполнение заданий в игровой форме.(20 минут)

Teacher: As I told you, we are going to play today. There are two teams: the first- “Pros”, and the second- “Cons” of travelling by train. Your answers will be assessed according to the criteria in the chart. Your answers must be expressive, clear and grammatically correct.

(Студенты делятся на две команды « ЗА» и «ПРОТИВ». Приложение №1. Выступлениястудентовкаждойкомандыбудутоцениватьсяпоследующимкритериям):

-умение представлять информацию;

-умение отвечать на вопросы и работать в команде;

Teacher: It’s time to start our game. You are welcome. Read the text one by one. Let’s find, who will be the first. The team which choose “+” will be the first,“- ” will be the second.

(Команды тянут жребий. Знак ‘’+” означает что команда начинает первая, знак ‘’-“ говорит что команда начинает вторая.)

-The task of the first round is to read the information, pronounce the words correctly.

-The second round is to find out the meaning of the italic words.

-The third round is to list the advantages and disadvantages of travelling by train.

- The fourth round is to try to retell the text “Travelling by train”.

8. Подведение итогов занятия. Оценивание студентов.

Teacher: I’m pleased with your work. You were very attentive. The majority of students were active at doing tasks. You didn’t manage to avoid grammar and pronunciation mistakes. But they are not such serious. The winner of our game is the “Pros”/ “Cons” team. Your marks are …. .

(Я довольна вашей работой. Вы были внимательны. Большинство студентов были активны при выполнении заданий. Вам не удалось избежать грамматических и фонетических ошибок, но они не были существенными. Победителем нашей игры команда« ЗА» /«ПРОТИВ». )

8.1.Кластер . Подведение итогов занятия. (3 минут)

Teacher: I want you to sum up all our work. Now, look at the following word-web. Think of related words to each of the parts and tell about the phenomenon of travelling.

8.2. Заключительное слово преподавателя. ( 1минута)

Teacher: Thank you. Your work is done well. So, our lesson is over. You have shown me your skills on this topic. Your were successful in your work and game, because you were one team. You didn’t manage to avoid grammar and pronunciation mistakes. But they are not such serious, so your task can be estimate as good at all.

( Студенты показали хорошие знания по данной теме. Работа их была успешной, так как они были одной сплочённой командой. Ошибки допущенные студентами были незначительные и работу в целом можно считать выполненной должным образом.)

9. Домашнее задание. (1минута)

Teacher: Your home task is to rewrite the dialogue “Boarding the train” and learn it by heart. You can find it in YouTube: “Английский язык для туристов. Урок 7. Садимся на поезд. Those who hasn’t a computer at home can use The NET in the college’s library.

( Домашнее задание: переписать диалог из YouTube: “Английский язык для туристов. Урок 7. Садимся на поезд и выучить его на память. У студентов, у которых нет компьютера, могут воспользоваться интернетом в библиотеке колледжа.)

Travelling by train.

Modern life is impossible without travelling. Of course the fastest way of travelling is by plane. Travelling by train is of course slower than by air but it also has its advantages. If you are going to travel by train you'd better book seats beforehand because many people are fond of travelling by train. There are some reasons why people choose railroad. Train is the cheapest means of travelling. If it is summer outside it will be better to think of your trip before the vocation starts. To understand how true this is, you only have to go to a railway station. There you will see hundreds of people hurrying to catch a train. You'll waste a lot of time standing near the booking-office trying to buy a ticket. Modern trains have very comfortable seats in all passenger cars, and there are sleeping-cars and dining-cars which make even the longest journey enjoyable. You can buy first-class, second-class and third-class sleepers in a separate compartment. If you are early before the train starts you can leave your suit-cases in the compartment and walk up and down the platform. There are express, slow and long-distance trains. If you want to go somewhere and get there as quickly as possible you'd better know that express trains only stop at the largest stations. Once you are in your compartment you have to ask the guide to bring in the bedding. There are usually two lower and two upper berths in a third-class sleeper compartment. Some people like to occupy upper berths because it is more convenient and exciting to travel. During your way on the train you can read newspapers, books, look out of the window, drink the tea, communicate with your neighbors or sleep. I prefer to look out of the window, because you can see the country you are passing through, and not only the clouds as when you are flying. You can have something to eat at the stations when the train makes stops.
