T: Let’s return to the sentence and try to translate it with the help of this construction.

T: Look at the sentences, compare them and try to make a rule.
1.There is a kitchen, a bedroom and a living room in the house.
2. There are two kitchens, a bedroom and a living room in the house.
Ch: When the first noun is singular, we use there is.
When the first noun is plural, we use there are.
