Theme: “How much juice? How many apples?”
Type of the lesson: combined
Teaching methods: explanation, question - answer, speaking, pairwork and groupwork.
Aims: to explain the new theme to the pupils and to revise the preceding theme, that is countable and uncountable nouns.
Objectives:
Educational: to enrich pupils’ knowledge about countable and uncountable nouns, to study the using of “much” and “many”, to use it in sentences.
Developing: to develop pupils’ interest, habits and skills of oral and written speech.
Upbringing: to bring - up pupils to be attentive, to write neatly and correctly and to rouse their interest to learning English.

Teacher divide pupils into 4 groups and they’ll read and translate the text themselves. Ex.2, p-178;
Writing. Ex.3, p-178; Point the sentences.
Listening.
Listening to the popular songs of Elvis. “ Only you”, “Love me tender”, “ I love the rock-n-roll”,etc;

1. Asking the pupils “ What do you know about Elvis?”, making the diagram;( “Association” strategy)
