Открытый урок в 10 классе (углубленное изучение) по теме «The world of art».
Цель: совершенствование лексических навыков устной и письменной речи, обобщение материала по теме «Искусство».
Оборудование: компьютер, репродукции картин известных художников, раздаточный материал (карточки, тесты).
Ход урока:
I. 1. Приветствие.
Good morning, dears! Nice to see you.
2. Фонетическая зарядка.
Let’s pronounce the proverb all together: early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
3. Речевая зарядка.
Answer some questions on the topic “Visual arts”:
1) Are you interested in art?
2) What world-famous artists do you know?
3) Do you think photography can be called a kind of visual art?
4) Are you interested in photography?
5) Should art be taught at school?
6) Do you think a person’s artistic taste is inborn?

Today we have a final lesson on the topic “Arts”. We will work in small groups, discuss genres of painting describe some pictures and do a quiz on the topic.
II. Аудирование текста «Famous artists».
Let’s start our lesson with listening. You will listen the text about famous artists. After that you should say which of them:
a) Worked not only in the field of visual arts
b) Was born, worked and died in the 17th century
c) Made frescoes for one of the famous Catholic churches
d) didn’t like to paint in his studio
e) couldn’t earn money selling his pictures.

And now you will get your own topic (Realism, Impressionism, Cubism). You have some minutes to prepare a talk on your topic present it to class.
