  1. Pronounce some preposition of location intelligibly

  2. Recognise with support the spoken form of a limited range of basic classroom words

Most learners will be able to:

  1. Recognise and use 2-3 prepositions of location

  2. Use some construction “There is / There are” correctly

3. Use imperative form of common verbs related to classrooms routines.

Some learners will be able to:

1. Recognise and use all of preposition of location, describe where people and things are.

I.Beginning of the lesson

1.Greeting

2. Warm up (“Is it a mouse… is it a cat?”)

Teachers instruction:

- Stand up, make a circle.

- Is it a mouse?(Shows the mouse)

- Is it a cat?(Shows the cat)

T. gives a mouse: Dasha, this is a mouse! Show it Anton and say:” this is a mouse!”Anton ask Dasha : Is it a mouse? Dasha turn to me and ask me “Is it a mouse?” – Yeas, it is a mouse! Answer Anton “Yeas, it is a mouse!” The same with a cat.

3. Presenting prepositions of location and position:

a) showing, naming prepositions (in, on, under, next to, :

The mouse is in the house”…

b) fonetic drill,

c) T shows and asks SS “Is the mouse in the house?”…

d) T divides into Mice and Houses

Instuction: - Houses make a circle. And Mice find your Houses. Mice stand - behind (next to, in) your Houses.

4. Identification and description:

a) dividing into groups (cards)

b) Learners given worksheet and tick the correct option of three according to Teacher`s descriptions. E.g. There are two black cats under a chair.

5. “Where is…?”

To revise vocabulary from previous units and to reinforce use of the question “Where is…?”
