Aims: 1. Students review previous material “Going to Britain”, students study new theme ‘Going to Kazakhstan’ and to develop student's skills in oral speech

2. to develop student's intellect, speech habits through speaking, listening and writing.

To develop students speaking activities about Kazakhstan

3. To continue the forming of loving English language and to teach the 7^th formers to respect

their motherland

The methods of teaching: 1. Practical; 2. Reproductive; 3. Audio; 4. Visual.

Type of the lesson: new theme

Materials: a slide about Great Britain, video about Kazakhstan

Procedure of the lesson:

1. What is the official name of Great Britain?

3. How many parts does the UK consist of? What are they?

4. What is the deepest river in Great Britain?

5. What is the population of Great Britain?

Divided into two groups.

1. Introducing of the new theme:

Ok children beginning our new theme look at the interactive board and watch and listen this video. “Welcome to Kazakhstan”

T: Do you understand this video? What about it? And tell me the theme of our lesson?

The Republic of Kazakhstan is situated in the Central Asia. The area of Kazakhstan is 2 753 000 square kilometres. Its population is about 16 million. Astana is the capital of the Republic. Kazakh is the official language.

The capital of Kazakhstan is Astana. In 1997 by the order of the president of sovereign Kazakhstan N.Nazarbaev Akmola became the capital of Kazakhstan. On June,6 1998 according to the order of the president Akmola was renamed Astana.
