The aim of the lesson: formation of foreign language communication competence.
Objectives:
to enrich pupils’ vocabulary on the given theme “My house”,
to improve pupils’ skill in group work;
to consolidate all materials taught before, to develop pupils’ creative abilities through different kinds of activities;
to teach pupils to respect and help each other and to be polite, to bring up interest in learning English.
Type of the lesson: mixed lesson using the games.
The method of teaching: games, communicative approach, group work.
Visual aids: pictures, active board, cards.

Hello, boys and girls! Nice to see you!
How are you? I’m fine, thanks.

Do you know any proverbs about home in Russian and Kazakh?
(В гостях хорошо, а дома лучше. Дома и стены лечат. Мой дом – моя крепость)
There are some proverbs in English too. Look and let’s read them.
There is no place like home. East or West, home is the best.
What’s the theme of our lesson? The theme of our lesson is “My house”-«Our living room».
2. Warm up
Let’s revise the names of the rooms and furniture we have in our houses and flats.

This is a house. It is big and new. There are two floors in this house. There are some rooms in it. What are they?

1. People cook breakfast, lunch in this room. We have a fridge, a table, a cupboard in this room. (a kitchen)
2. There is a bed in this room. There is a carpet on the floor. People have a rest in this room. (a bedroom)
3. We have a shower there. You can brush your teeth and wash your face and hands there.

4. There is a TV set, some chairs and a sofa in this room. There are pictures on the walls. There is a carpet on the floor. It’s the biggest room in the house. People watch TV or listen to music there. (a living room)
