5 form, “My bedroom”

  1. Good morning, boys and girls! I am very glad to see you! Take your seats, please!

  2. Let’s start our lesson. How are you? What’s the date today? What’s the day of week today? What’s the weather like today? Thank you very much. (2)

  3. At the previous lessons we started to learn the theme home, we talked about rooms and the things in them. Now we check how you have learnt all the words. Look at the blackboard, in this task you need to match the pictures to the descriptions. Roma, go to the blackboard, please. Thank you, sit down. Well done! (3).

  4. I see you know all the rooms very good.Let’s repeat the structure “there is/there are” which help us to describe these rooms. When do we use there is/there are? If we want to describe several things (we look at the first word ). How do we form positive and negative sentences? How do we form questions? Now, look at the first picture and describe it using the structure “there is/there are” Thank you, sit down. (8)

  5. We have repeated the rooms, the rule. Tell me. Have you got your own room in the flat? Own means my room. How do we translate the word ‘own’?  Is your bedroom big or small? Do you like your bedroom? What are we going to talk about?  (2)

  6. Look at the theme and poster.How do we translate the theme of our lesson? What will we do at this lesson? (1) (will repeat and listen the prepositions of place, the things in the bedroom, describe the bedroom).

  7. First of all we repeat the prepositions of place. Open your books at page 50. Look at the ex.1. Listen and repeat. Now, Sasha read, please. (3)

  8. Look at the Peter’s bedroom. Ask questions, and then answer using the prepositions of place. Let’s read the example. (5)

  9. Look at the ex.2. Here there is the description of Peter’s bedroom. Read the title please. Think of six words you expect to find in the text and name them.Listen, read and check. (2)

  10. Let’s read the text in chain and translate. (5)

  11. Ask questions about your partner’s bedroom, look through the example.(7)

  12. Open your diaries and write down your homework. You need to describe your bedroom and draw the plan of it, using the text which we have read. Is it clear what you must do at home? (1)

  13. Close everything. What have we repeated at this lesson? (rooms, the things in the rooms, the structure there is/there are, the prepositions of place.). What have we learnt at this lesson?What rooms do you know?Do you like the lesson? Are you pleased with yourwork? Show me the fingers, if you answer very good, show me five fingers. I see all of you show me five fingers. Answer my question. What can you do after this lesson? (5).

  14. I’m sure at home you will describe your bedroom. All of you get only good marks. Thank you for your work. Our lesson is over. Goodbye.(1)
