УРОК АНГЛИЙСКОГО ЯЗЫКА В 5-ОМ КЛАССЕ НА ТЕМУ
«ЗДОРОВЫЙ ОБРАЗ ЖИЗНИ»

Цель урока: систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме «Здоровый образ жизни»
- совершенствование умений и навыков практического владения английским языком по различным видам речевой деятельности: аудированию, чтению, говорению;
- воспитание понимания важности здорового образа жизни.
- развитие у учащихся умения творчески использовать усвоенный материал в новых ситуациях общения.
Оснащение урока: Интерактивная доска, компьютер, проектор, различные тематические картинки, волшебная коробочка с вопросами, раздаточный материал, презентация учителя.
The beginning of the lesson
The teacher: Good morning boys and girls. Take your places. Look at the board. There are three pictures on it. What can you see on the picture number 1, number 2 and number 3?
Students tell their opinions and according to them they try to guess the theme of the lesson, using linking phrases: In my opinion, I think, I suggest etc. On the picture number 1 there are a lot of different fruits and vegetables, on the second one there is a doctor and his patient, on the third picture there are a lot of different kinds of sport.
Students tell the theme of the lesson is the healthy way of life. The teacher shows it on the smart board.
Then the teacher asks students about the aim of the lesson and they answer that is is to know what it means to be healthy.
After it the teacher asks the students to guess what they are going to speak about during the lesson.
They answer: «We will speak about health, about recommendations to be healthy, about doctors».
The teacher pays students’ attention about different ways of working during the lesson (in group, in pairs, individually)
The main part of the lesson.
Activity 1 Teacher shows students words connecting with the theme of the lesson, students repeat them and translate.
To cough etc.
Activity 2 There are a lot of words on the board and they are mixed. Students are to find the right pair to each of the word to form the right word combination. This work is done in pairs.
Firstly, they do it in pairs (the teacher gives the sheet of paper to every pair, where they match the right word combination) and then students check it gong to the board and making the right one.
Activity 3 The teacher shows the magic box where there are a lot different questions. Students are to take these questions and answer them.
What should people eat to be healthy?
What should people do if they cough? etc.
Activity 4 The teacher gives students different proverbs that are connected with the health but the words in every on are jumbled (the teacher explains what jumbled is) Then students read their variants and give Russian equivalents. The teacher shows right variant on the smart board.
Activity 5 The teacher gives students sheets of paper with different recommendations. Group number 1 are to put a tick next to recommendations are to be followed, group number 2 are to put a tick next to the recommendations we should not follow.
Activity 6 The teacher shows a short video film where different people tell about their problems with their health. Students are to watch this film and report about these problems.
Students go to the board and sing a song « My healthy body»
Activity 7 The teacher asks students some questions about doctors and then put pictures illustrating answers on the board
- Where does the doctor work?
- Who does he treat?
- What does he prescribe?
- What does the doctor feel when a sick person comes to him? Etc.
Then students shows skits « At the doctors’»
Activity 8 Students are to make a magic flower with their own recommendations to be healthy. The teacher gives a petal to every student, after writing they make a bright, colorful flower with recommendations that is put on the blackboard.
The end of the lesson.
Then the teacher and students make a summary of the lesson. They revise the theme and the aim of the lesson and what it means to be healthy. Students answer using thematic lexical material.
After it the teacher wants students to estimate the lesson. On the board she puts a basket and gives students cards with apples, bananas and sweets.
If students think the lesson is interesting and cognitive, they should put an apple into the basket.
If students think the lesson is just interesting, they should put a banana into the basket.
If students think the lesson is not interesting and there is no cognitive information, they should put a sweet into the basket.
At the end of the lesson the teacher gives an apple to every student and thanks students for their work.
