The aims of the lesson: a)to develop speaking skills b)to enlarge pupil ‘s vocabulary c)to teach to express their own opinion d)to broaden their outlook e)to teach to work in team.

The process of the lesson.

Teacher: Good morning, children!

Students: Good morning, teacher!

T: I’m glad to see you! We have today many guests there, but’s OK. Please, answer my questions.

Who is on duty today?

S: I’m on duty today.

T: Well, what date is it today?

S: It’s the 16th of September.

T: What day is it today?

S: It’s Tuesdsay.

T: What season is it now?

S: It’s autumn now.

T: What the weather like today?

S: It is cloudy\rainy\sunny\cool\cold.

T: Who is absent?

S: All are present\. is\are absent. The other are present.

T: Thank you. Sit down, please. Now we’ll be watching a short video with a funny song. Look at the screen and sing the song together.

T: How are you today? (Each pupil answer the question and ask the teacher). Well done! Next task is the following: look at the screen, listen to words and say, which is the theme of our lesson.

S: Sport in Britain.

T: Right, but we’ll be speaking about sports in Kazakhstan too. Now you divide into two teams. One team take place at the table with the flag of Kazakhstan, the other team at the table with the flag of Great Britain. Take the cards on the table and take place. Please, choose a speaker in each team.

T: Now we practice new words to our lesson.

(Slide 3)

T: Look at your tables. There are some pictures, divide them into three groups: sports in Kazakhstan, sports in Great Britain, sports in both country. For each right done task you become a golden or a silver medal.(3 minutes)

T: Please, put your diagrams on the board and say, which sports are in Kazakhstan, in Britain and in both country.

S’: Sports are popular in both country…

T’: Well done! Sit down, please. Next task is reading. Read the text and answer the questions to it. Time for the task is 5 minutes. Please, speakers take the cards with questions – each team become four cards, go to your team, discuss the answers and present them.

T: Let’s do the next task. You become cards with words. Put the words together and read them aloud. (3 minutes).

T: Let’s do some exercices.

T: You see two chairs, one is for “right”, the other for “wrong”. You see some pictures. I say for example: “Children play football”. If it’s right you sit on the chair “right” and say: “It’s right. Children play football”. If it’s wrong you sit on the chair “wrong” and say: “It’s wrong. Children don’t play football, they swim”. Pleas, go to the board (name one pupil from each team).

T: Next task is matching. You have a card with pictures. Match the numbers with words. Time for this task is 5 minutes.

T: Please, present your results.

T: Now we do crossword.

 Well done. Please, count your medals. Team one\two win and become mark 5. Team one\two become mark 4.                                     

T: Ребята, домашнее задание у вас разделено на 3 задания, оценки за него тоже будут разные. Первое задание: измерить пульс, записать, сделать 20 прыжков, снова измерить пульс, записать, сравнить. Второе задание: по формуле рассчитать, нет ли у вас избыточного веса. Третье задание: посчитать калории съеденного обеда. Родители помогут вам выполнить задания.
