Ход урока

Teacher: Good morning, pupils! Good morning, dear guests! Welcome to our lesson “ I`ll tell you about this country”. As you know, Russia is the largest country in the world, so there are a lot of wonderful places in it. Today we are going to speak about the deepest lakes and the highest mountains, the most famous museums, galleries and theatres, the most beautiful squares and cathedrals. You are going to work in teams. Please choose the captains and the name of your teams… I see that you are ready. Let’s begin. We’ve got 5 tasks.

Учитель дает краткое описание достопримечательностей в России. Если ученик знает название, он поднимает руку и даёт ответ. Каждый правильный ответ приносит 1 балл команде.

Teacher: Task 1. Listen to me and say what wonderful place I am speaking about. Raise your hand if you know the answer. If your answer is correct, your team gets 1 point.

1. A museum of art and culture situated in Saint Petersburg. It is one of the largest and oldest museums of the world. There are 3 million works of art in this museum and the largest collection of paintings in the world. (The State Hermitage)

5. A summer residence of the Russian monarchs located not far from St. Petersburg. It is a brilliant palace and park ensemble with 150 fountains. It is sometimes called the Russian Versailles. (Peterhof)

6. The heart of Russia and the central square of Moscow, one of the most beautiful and famous places in the world.  It used to be Moscow’s main market place, now it is used for festivals, public ceremonies and proclamations. (Red Square)

7. A historic theatre in Moscow, with one of the oldest and greatest opera and ballet companies in the world. It was opened in 1825. (The Bolshoi Theatre)

8. The official residence of the President of Russia, the symbol of our capital. (The Kremlin)

Задание 4

Учитель раздает каждой команде карточки со словами (или фразами). Учащиеся должны расставить эти слова в правильном порядке, чтобы прочитать пословицы и поговорки о любви к своей стране. Учащиеся работают сначала индивидуально, а потом в команде. Каждое правильное предложение приносит 1 балл команде.

The Flag of the Russian Federation

The Russian flag is sometimes called the IMPERIAL FLAG. It consists of three equal stripes of white, blue and red. The first flag of this design appeared more than 300 years ago. Peter the Great adapted the flag from the National flag of the Netherlands. Later a black two-headed eagle on a golden background was added to the flag of Russia. The flag existed until the revolution in 1917. In the nineties, with the democratic changes, the three-colour flag was restored again. On 21 August 1991, the flag was officially adopted by the Russian President and the Russian Parliament. In Russia the colours of the current flag symbolize:

• white — frankness and generosity;

• blue — honesty and wisdom;

• red — courage and love.

The Emblem of the Russian Federation

The Russian National Emblem is the golden DOUBLE-HEADED EAGLE with a horseman (St George) on a shield on the eagle's breast with a red background. Above the two heads of the eagle, there is a historical crown.

The first emblem of the double-headed eagle was introduced in 1480, by Prince Ivan III. It was at the time of the establishment of the Russian state system. It symbolized the supreme power and sovereignty of the state.

Since then, the double-headed eagle is the main part of the emblem of our country. But now the crown is a symbol of the sovereignty both of the Russian Federation (as a whole) and of its parts (subjects of the Federation.

Цель урока: формирование коммуникативной компетенции учащихся на основе изученных лексических единиц, речевых и грамматических структур по страноведческой тематике.

Задачи урока.

Развивающие задачи:

1. Формирование и развитие коммуникативных умений и навыков (умение пользоваться речью: монологической, диалогической; умение слушать и слышать; умение участвовать в дискуссии);

2. Формирование и развитие учебно-организационных умений и навыков (взаимоконтроль, навыки самостоятельной работы, умение участвовать в коллективной познавательной деятельности, умение обобщать и анализировать).

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Воспитание чувства любви и уважения к своей стране

2. Развитие патриотических качеств личности школьника.

I believe that Russia is a great country. I think so because I study history and know that Russia in different periods of time influenced on the global evolution of our world. Also it’s one of the biggest countries on the planet.

It has a great culture and outstanding legacy. There are the best scientists and people of art like Pushkin and Dostoevsky in Russia. Their books were translated into dozens of foreign languages.

There are some big cities in Russia. They are Moscow, our capital, St. Petersburg the former capital, Yekaterinburg and others. Moscow is full of historical monuments. There are even more of them in St. Petersburg. Russian people call St. Petersburg and ZarskoeSelo an “open - air museum”.

Russia is a rich country. It’s famous by its gas and all resources.

I live in Russia Я живу в России Russia is one of the largest countries in the world. The vast territory of Russia lies in the eastern part of Europe and the northern part of Asia. Russia is washed by twelve seas and three oceans.

Россия - это крупнейшая страна в мире. Большая часть территории России лежит в восточной части Европы и в северной части Азии. Россия омывается 12-ю морями и тремя океанами. The capital of Russian Federation is Moscow, with the population of about 10 million people.

Столица России - Москва, с численностью населения более 10 миллионов человек.

The land of Russia varies very much from forests to deserts, from high mountains to deep valleys. The main mountain are the Urals, the Caucasus and the Altai. There are a lot of great rivers and deep lakes on its territory. Also there are many animals in Russia.

Территория России очень разнится - от лесов до пустынь, от высоких гор до глубоких долин. Главные горы - это Уральские, Кавказские и Алтайские. На ее территории очень много больших рек и глубоких рек. Также в России очень много животных.

The longest rivers are the Volga in Europe and the Ob, the Yenisei and the Lena in Asia. The largest lakes are Ladoga and Baikal. Baikal is the deepest lake in the world and its water is the purest on earth. Самые длинные реки - это Волга (в Европе) и Обь, Енисей и Лена в Азии. Крупнейшие озера - это Ладога и Байкал. Байкал - самое глубокое озеро в мире, его воды - самые чистые на земле. The Russian Federation is rich in natural and mineral resources. It has deposits of oil, gas, iron, gold, silver and many others.  The European part of the country is densely peopled, and most population live in cities. The current population of Russia is more than 145 million people.

Российская федерация - богатейшая натуральными и минеральными ресурсами. Она имеет залежи нефти, газа, железа, золота, серебра и многих других. Европейская часть более заселена людьми и основная численность наблюдается в городах. Текущая численность населения России - более 145 миллионов человек.

Russia is a presidential republic. It is one of the leading powers in the world.

Россия - президентская республика. Она - один из лидеров на мировой арене.
