The theme of the lesson:  “I’ll be a doctor”                                           

The aims of the lesson: 

a)Educational : Presentation of the lesson about the profession, to  practice and introducing  new vocabulary. to train new words and discussion an English language

b) Developing: To develop listening, speaking, reading skills. Asking and talking about the jobs, to develop the pupil habits of the oral speech, to develop pupils creative and logical abilities.

3/ Bringing-up: to bring up love and interest to the subject, to respect each other, to create an English atmosphere in the classroom.

Kind of the lesson:  interactive

Type of the lesson:  getting new information

Methods of the lesson: explanation, asking and answering questions, listening, reading,  speaking 

Aids:  pictures, grammar table, cards, slides

The procedure of the lesson

I. Organization moment

Greeting and report of the duty.

Good morning, children!  I’m glad to see you at our lesson.

Who is on duty today?  Who is absent?   What is the date today? What day is it today?  

What is the weather like today?

II. Checking up the home task

What was your home task?

At the previous lesson we had the theme: “To be going to”  Tell me about your times of events. Say me what are you  going to do?  Example: I am going to play football. I am going to help my mother.

read, do crossword, go shopping, play computer games, watch TV, listen to music, tidy my room

   IV. New lesson

Dear pupils let’s begin our lesson. Today we have a new theme. The theme of our lesson is “I’ll be a doctor”. Today we’re going to speak about jobs.

Name as many job words as you can. (worker, doctor, teacher, pilot, dentist, clown).

Now name places where people can work. (hospital, school, factory, garage, office, farm).

Name their activities. (he works in the hospital, cook, sell food and clothes, he works in the circus) 

What job do you like? First of all write down new words. 

1)Presentation and revising of  the lexica: Look at the pictures.
Let’s  read the words and practice their pronunciation

 an artist   a banker   a programmer   a designer    a doctor   a receptionist   a lawyer a pilot a cosmonaut  a manager

 2)Work on new lexica with pictures. Look at the pictures and read the words.

 Read and write the words in the right column then, practice their pronunciation.

e) [‘pailↄt]- ____________

3) Look at the grammar table and read the rule:

We use will or won’t + verb when we talk about the future.

 What are you going to be when you are twenty three? I don’t know, perhaps,

I’ll be a pilot.

I’ll be a doctor.

I’ll be a teacher.

I’ll be a manager.

4) Listen and repeat. Slide № 3. Presentation of the question:

Exercise 2 Listen and practice.

-What will you be when you are 25?

-I’ll be a spaceman.

-And what will you be, Dima?

-I’ll be an engineer.

VI. Consolidation of the introduced material: Work with cards and pictures. Talk to your friend. One pupil will ask the question. The other pupil will answer it using words which written on a card.

Example:

  •  What will you be?    - I’ll be a farmer.

Interview your friend.

What will you be when you are 25?

I’ll be…                 

Let`s have a rest.

      • Look left, right
      • Look up, look down
      • Look around.
      • Look at your nose
      • Look at that rose
      • Close your eyes
      • Open, wink and smile.

VII. Conclusion.

14. a person who treats people when they are ill
15. a person who writes books
