  Theme : Unit 11 At the Doctor. Revision

  The aims of the lesson:

   Educational : to revise the vocabulary for the topics of Units 6 – 11

   Developing: to enable pupils to work independently to revise the vocabulary 

   The type of the lesson: mixed type

   The method of the lesson : CLT(Communicative Language Teaching) 

                                               Total – Physical Response

                                               CLIL, STEAM

   Competencies of teaching: Linguistic, Pragmatic

   The way of teaching: Deductive (Presentation- Practise – Production )

   Interaction: Pair work, Individual work,Group work

   The equipment: Computer, projector, cards,handouts, Workbook, Pupil`s book 

                                                      The procedure of the lesson;

    1.Organizational part:

     Teacher greets with pp and asks how is their mood

      Pupils says that they have ill. Teacher says that s\he helps them during the 

     lesson. According cards class divides into 4 groups. First group Tablets,

     second group Vitamins, third group Cough syrop  and   last group Injection.

Activity1. Work in two teams. Choose and answer.

Objective: to revise the material of Unit 11

Teacher says the name of illness in uzbek form and pp must say them in English  

form.

      Headache, tummy ache, sore throat, toothache, cold, caugh, temperature,  sore leg, sore eye,   Ache,Sore

 

Activity 2. Listen and sing

Objectives: to warm up by singing the song; to check homework 

Play the DVD. Ask the pupils to listen to the song and sing it. 

Activity 3. Answer the questions

Objective: to develop the pupil`s listening and writing skills

Teacher reads the questions and pp must choose their own answer. Write it their notebook. At the end the task they will count their score.

Activity 4. Look, listen and repeat

Objectives: to introduce the new vocabulary, to practise the pronunciation of the new vocabulary

Stethoscope ___ stetoskop

Ambulance ___ tez yordam mashinasi

X – ray ___ rentgen

Medical clamps ___ tibbiyot qaychisi

Tweezers ____ pintsept

Thermometer ___ termometr 

Injection ___ ukol qilish

Teacher says the new word and pupils must show its picture quickly

Setting homework: Pupils must revise all the learnt material according the Unit 11

New theme: The old man and his son.

Activity 1. Listen and say.

to warm up.

  1. What cartoons do you know?

  2. What is your favourite cartoon?

  3. Who’s the hero of the cartoon?

Dive the pupils into two teams. One of the pupils from the first team says the name of the cartoon and the pupil the second team says the main hero of this cartoon. Then they change roles.

Activity 4. Complete the sentences .

  1. The old man has three sons.

  2. The old man has three sticks.

  3. His sons always fight.

  4. The old man asks his sons to break three sticks.

  5. His sons cannot break three sticks.

Activity 5 a. Work in groups and make a story.

An old man has three sons. His three sons always fight. They are not good. They don’t listen to their father and mother. They do what they want.

Their father’s not happy. He says to his three sons, “ Sons, your mother and I are old. We love you. We want you to be good. Here are three sticks.. I’m going to give you one stick. I want you to break the stick.”

The sons have sticks. The first son breaks the stick. The second son breaks the stick. The third son breaks the stick. It is easy to break one stick. The old man gives three sticks to the first son. He says, “ Break the three sticks. “ The old man gives the three sticks to the second son , and the third son.

The sons can’t break three sticks.

The old man says, “ Son’s, it is easy to break one stick and it is easy to break you one by one. It’s not easy to break three sticks and it’s not to break my three sons. We want you to stay together and be strong. Never forget, be always friends!”

Activity 5 b. work in groups. Role play.

To improve the pupils’ speaking skills.

Conclusion.

  1. How many sons has the old man got?

  2. Are they good with each others?

  3. What said the old man to his sons?

  4. Did the sons understand their mistakes?

Homework . Work book on page 74. Write their own story.
