The aims:    to learn new words related to birthday parties, ask people about their age and answer this question with a full answer.

to develop pupilswriting, speaking & answering. Тo introduce new material and to know the new words.

to develop friendly relations with the elders, the children in the family, teachers and classmates.

for teacher: cards with new words, CD, books, balloons, hats, cake, candle, present.

for pupils: Book and exercise book.

Intersubject connections: Music (song “Happy birthday”), visual arts.

I.Organization moment.

  • Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you! How are you?
  • Good morning, teacher! We are glad to see you too!

II. The new theme and purpose of the lesson.

  • Children, do you like holidays? What kind of holiday you like most? Why?
  • In fact, the birthday of your life and your friends is the most exciting and long-awaited event. In today's lesson we will talk about this wonderful day. You know how is called in English?
