Конспект открытого урока на тему: «Достопримечательности Лондона».

Цель: познакомить учащихся с достопримечательностями Лондона, развить умения в 4 видах речевой деятельности

Задачи: ознакомить с произношением названий достопримечательностей, выполнить заданий на аудирование, чтение интересных фактов о Лондоне, чтение и работа по тексту «Places of interest in London», повторение грамматических времен Present Simple, Present Continuous, выполнить упражнения в тетради, выполнить лексические, орфографические упражнения в тетради на печатной основе

Формы: заочная экскурсия по Лондону

Приемы: аудирование, чтение, письмо, говорение

Тип урока: комбинированный с использованием ИКТ

Оборудование: ИКТ, проектор, доска, учебники, тетради

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент

Good morning, children! Who is on duty today? What is your name? How old are you? Who is absent today? What date is it today? Is it spring today? Is it cold today?

1. Warm up

Look at the map. People say that this wonderful country has many different names: Great Britain, The UK or just Britain. Say please the full name of the Great Britain. What is the capital of England? What places of interest do you know in London?

There are a lot of sights places of interest in London.

1. You can see this place from the river Thames. It's very old. This place has a long and cruel' history. It isn't just one building. It has a history of blood - the blood of men, women and children. Now the Kings and the Queens of Britain don't live there. (Tower of London)

2. It is the place where British kings and queens live when they are in London. When the Queen is inside you can see the flag over it. (Buckingham Palace)

3. The sights stand beside the river Thames. The country's leaders speak at this place. The famous clock Big Ben stands near them. (The House of Parliament)

4. It is one of the famous bridges across the Thames. It was built in 1894. It's next to the Tower of London. It opens and ships go up and down the river Thames. (Tower Bridge)

6. It is a place where different meetings take place. In the middle of this square there is Nelson Column, (Trafalgar Square)

7. It is also known as the Millennium Wheel, is the tallest (the diameter of the wheel, or its height, is 135 metres (443 ft) ) Ferris wheel in Europe, and has become the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, visited by over 3 million people a year.(London Eye)

8. It is a famous clock tower. (Big Ben)

9 It is a large, mainly Gothic church, in Westminster. It is the traditional place of coronation and Burial site for English and later British monarchs. (Westminster Abbey)

As you know London is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It has a lot of interesting historical and modern places to visit. Today we are going to visit some interesting places in London. You can see these places, read and listen to the information about them. And can do some tasks.

But first let’s see what you know about London.
