Samuil Marshak

S.Ya.Marshak is remarkable Soviet poet, playwright and translator, is very fond of children and Created magnificent works for them. He was a big and kind heart, talent and it was just as big and kind.

Samuil Marshak was born Nov. 3 (October 22 - under Art. Style), 1887 in the city of Voronezh.

Marshak’s family was great and very friendly.

His father, Jacob Mironovich Marshak, master chemist by profession,

loved books all life, literature, and knew several foreign languages.

His mother, Eugenia B. Marshak, was a woman of few words, who loved not to express their innermost feelings. From childhood, and for life she was in love with literature, the novels of Turgenev, Goncharov, Dickens, Nekrasov's poem.

Family around the country - the city of Vitebsk, Intercession City, Vladimir province, Ukraine and the town Bakhmut, until finally, Marshak not settled in the ancient Russian city of Voronezh Ostrogozhsk.
