Six Kazakh athletes competed in the Winter Paralympic Games-2018.

The team spent two years preparing for the Winter Paralympics.

The Kazakhs performed at the Games in two disciplines: ski race and biathlon, with the following members: Alexander Kolyadin, Denis Petrenko, Sergei Usoltsev, Alexander Gerlitz, Kairat Kanafin and Zhanyl Baltabayeva.

Winter Paralympic Games - 2018 in Pyeongchang began on March 8.

Kazakhstan athlete won ‘gold’ in the Paralympics.

The gold medal won by Kolyadinbecame the first award of the triple nine gold for Kazakhstan at the Winter Paralympic Games.

The 2018 Winter Paralympics is held in the South Korean city of PyeongChang, where the Winter Olympic Games were held. It started on March 9 and ended on March 18, 2018.

The 10-day event witnessed a record 567 athletes from 49 delegations – more than any previous edition - compete in 80 medal events across six sports

Four countries - China, Croatia, Kazakhstan and hosts South Korea – all won their first Winter Games gold medals.
