2 Развитие логического мышления

Воспитательные :

1 Повышение мотивации к изучению английского языка;

2 Воспитание умения работать в группах

Оснащение: картинки с изображением времен года, карточки с словами , аудиозапись песни

Ход мероприятия

Hello,everybody! How are you today ? I am very happy to see you. Today we are having a competition .And the theme is “ Seasons and weather” There are 2 teams from 5a and 5b classes and they will have 5 tasks

But first let us introduce our teams : They are “ Sunny rays” and “ English lovers”

Now, It is time to start. Good luck.

Warming up

You will listen riddles about seasons and solve them as quickly as possible

1 This is the season when mornings are dark

And birds do not sing in the forests and parks

This is the season when children ski

And Father Frost brings the New year tree.

2 This is the season when fruit is sweet

This is the season when friends meet

This is the season when leaves fall down

Red , orange,yellow, brown

3 This is the season when nights are short

And all children have plenty of fun and sport

Boating, swimming all the day

With a merry song on a sunny day.

I TASK

And now you will have the 1 st task

Look at the blackboard. There you see different words and the names of the seasons. Choose the words and put them under each season.

На доске прикреплены времена года и отдельно на карточках слова и выражения .Надо слова расположить под временем года.

II TASK 2

Now we ‘ll see how you know the vocabulary. On these big sheets of paper you see nice leaves with words on them .And you must find antonyms to these words

На 2 л. ватмана нарисованы 2 красивых осенних дерева с листьями, на которых написаны слова и рядом на карточках в виде осенних листьев лежат их антонимы . Надо найти антонимы и прикрепить к листьям c антонимом.( Получится очень красивое дерево)

На деревьях слова : cold black student short kind smart winter happy day take

На карточках : give night summer fool angry long teacher white hot

III TASK 3

Well. And we going to have the next task .

Answer my question: Where is the hottest weather on our planet? You are right.- It is in Africa.

Now we will talk about the animals that live in hot Africa. You will listen to the text ( description) about an animal and guess it .Each team will guess 2 animals.( ведущий зачитывает описания животных по очереди командам)

1 I am a big animal. I have got big ears, a long tail,a long nose. I eat grass and leaves. I can run , swim well but can’ t jump

2 I am a big strong animal I have got small ears,a long tail. I can run, jump , swim and sometimes climb on the trees.I like to eat meat.

3 I am a funny animal.I can be grey, black , brown. I can run , jump and climb on the trees well. I like to eat fruits and nuts.

4 I am a big and strong animal .I have a long mouth with sharp teeth, a long tail and short legs. I live in rivers

And now it’s time to relax. .You know a very nice song about seasons .Let’s listen and sing it together

IV TASK 4

A Now . It is the captains’ contest

Captains, come here..You will make up a story about one of the seasons . ( Ведущий держит в руках 4 карточки с названиями времен года и дает капитанам вытянуть себе время года).You have 5 min for the task.

B В это же время оставшейся команде дается задания выбрать верные утверждения и затем прочитать их хорошо.

1 In summer the weather is usually hot in Buryatia. 2 Children start school in spring. 3 We can see many nice flowers in June. 4 The birds make nests in spring. 5 It often rains in September.6 People wear warm clothes in summer. 7 Children play snowballs , make a snowman and ski in winter.

8 The sky is usually grey in spring. 9 Winter is a very warm season. 10 In autumn the leaves are very bright and beautiful..

V TASK 5

And the last task is asking questions. One team will ask 5 questions to another. Try to do it right. You will have points for every right question. An d the other team will have points for an answer.

Команды задают вопросы друг другу и получают баллы как за правильный вопрос так и за правильный ответ. ( Жюри засчитывает правильно заданный вопрос и ответ)

So ,our competition is over.The jury will count the points and say who is the winner today.
