Some people think that young people follow in their parent`s footsteps when choosing a profession.

Nowadays the choice of a profession is very important. However, there is a strong debate among those, who convinced that young people should choose the same career path as their parents have, while others believe that youngsters should follow their own interests thinking over future occupation.

I agree with the point of view that young men should make a decision about their profession themselves, according to their preferences. First and foremost, every person has his own unique talents and abilities. If a teenager is fond of music and art and he is good at creative activities, it will be difficult for him to become a programmer or an engineer. Besides, the world is permanently changing and new professions appear. Therefore, parents` occupations can be not in demand. Youngsters have to know what professions are needed and choose those, which are claimed and important for the future.

Nevertheless, we can find a contrary opinion. Some people are sure that it is beneficial to follow in their parents` footsteps when making a career choice because adults are able to teach and help their children to be the best in their job.

However, I cannot agree with the opposing opinion completely. If a young man is hardworking, he will achieve excellent results and become successful even without his parents` help.

Taking into consideration all mentioned above, I strongly believe the choice of a profession should be made by young people themselves due to their preferences.
