Данный урок знакомит учащихся

с достопримечательностями Лондона и

англо - говорящими странами.

Методическое сопровождение.

Тема урока: “Would you like to go to Britain?”

Подтема: “London is the capital of Great Britain.”

Цели урока:

1)Познавательный аспект: Знакомство с достопримечательностями Лондона, увеличение объёма знаний об изучаемой стране.

2) Воспитательный аспект: воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре другой страны.

3)Учебный аспект: формирование лексических навыков, развитие умения высказываться по заданной теме.

Задачи урока:

1) Вовлечь детей в общение на английском языке, используя полученные знания по теме.

2)Проконтролировать усвоение материала, используя различные упражнения

Оснащение урока: карта Великобритании, проектор, презентация по теме «Лондон» в Microsoft PowerPoint, тесты в Excel.

3) Прослушивание коротких сообщений о достопримечательностях Лондона.

Пояснительная записка. Нестандартные формы проведения уроков привлекают внимание учащихся, повышают интерес к предмету, способствуют обогащению новой информацией о стране изучаемого языка и, как следствие, помогают лучше усвоить тему урока. Данный материал может использоваться на протяжении нескольких уроков.

Цели урока:

• 1 Познавательный аспект: знакомство с достопримечательностями Лондона, увеличение объема знаний об изучаемой стране.
• 2 Воспитательный аспект: воспитание уважительного отношения к культуре другой страны.
• 3 Учебный аспект: формирование лексических навыков, развитие умения высказываться по заданной теме.

• London is the capital of Great Britain. It stands on the river Thames. It is very old city . It is two thousand years old. Many years ago London was a small town. Now London is a big port and a beautiful city. About seven million people live here.

It is London

home of the

Queen. When

Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace

The ceremony is a great

tourist attraction. It takes

place daily at 11:30 a. m.

and lasts half an hour. To

the sounds of music

the guardsmen in their

traditional bearskins

arrive and give the

palace keys

to another group .

TOWER OF LONDON

• The Tower of London is a very old building. It is nine hundred years old. In the early days of the history of England the English kings lived here. Then it was a prison where many people died. Black ravens had much food near the walls of the Tower in those years. Black ravens live outside the Tower now. The Tower of London is a museum now. The walls of the Tower are five meters thick. In the museum you can see many old guns. At ten o’ clock every evening the guards lock the big doors of the Tower for the night .

Westminster Abbey is a historic building. Here you can see the tombs of many British kings and queens and others famous people. The Abbey was founded in the 11 th century. Many of Great Britain’s famous men are buried in Westminster Abbey.

Gothic style. It’s

impressive in

appearance and size.

Trafalgar Square

It is in the centre of the

West End of London. Trafalgar

Square commemorates Nelson’s

victory at the battle of Trafalgar

in which he was fatally wounded.

Trafalgar Square was designed

between 1829 and 1840 with

Nelson’s Column as a centerpiece.

The column is over 170 feet height

with the statue of Nelson.

Nelson’ s Statue is over 16 feet

high about three times his real

high.

The statue shows Nelson with

one arm and eye.

He lost them in the battle

Today it is a place where

people meet, and it is famous

for political demonstration

.

The Houses of Parliament

This building

is the seat of

the British

Government.

Big Ben

The Clock Tower, which is

called Big Ben is known for

it's clock. It's one of the

finest time –keepers in the

world. The Clock has four

faces and a very big loud bell.

The bell weighs13Tons. The

Clock Tower is 318 feet high.

The man in charge of building

was Sir Benjamin Hall.

It is a square

in the Central

part of Lon –

don. In the

square You can

see people of

many nationalities.

It has one of the

largest libraries

in the world. The

six million books

in the library.

You can see beautifully illustrated

old manuscripts which they keep

glass cases.
