b) to develop students’ skills and habits in reading, speaking,writing, listening and logical thinking
c)to get interested in learning the language
The objectives of the lesson:
SWAT read the texts and do the tasks about them, make up the cinquains, put the numbers into the text, answer the questions,write the running dictation, sing the song, do the brainstorming tasks.

a)T:Hello,everybody.Glad to see you.Welcome to our lesson.Students,please, make a circle.By saying the numbers 1,2,3 you should make your own group and recite this chant by clapping your hands.
Now,students take your sits in groups.
b)T: Who is on duty today?
-Duty’s report.
-What was your hometask for today?
-Duty’s answer.
2.Checking up the hometask.
Duty :Ex.6.p.89 in written form and prepare an essay about the wonders of the ancient world.
T: Now, let’s check up your hometask.Before, look at this table and remember how we make the Passive Voice.(students look at the whiteboard and say the rules)

3.Brainstorming.
Students, you should match the two halves of each word and make a sentence:

Yes, you are right, this is the theme of our lesson today. How do you understand the word “wonders”.Yes,OK. So today we are going to speak about the seven wonders of the ancient world and we’ll learn a lot of interesting facts.
4.Presentation.
T:At first let’s have a look at these slides (on the whiteboard there are seven wonders of the ancient world) and pronounce the names of the wonders.
The Great Pyramide of Giza.
Hanging Gardens of Babylon
Statue of Zeus at Olimpia
Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
Colossus of Rhodes
Lighthouse of Alexandria
T: Some facts about three wonders are given in your textbooks.Open your books at page 86 and read the texts and answer the questions in ex.2.Before doing the tasks pay attention to the definition and pronounciation of these words:(The words are written on the whiteboard)
1.wonder(something that is very impressive)
2.ancient(very old)
3.lighthouse( a tower built next to the sea, that has a light at the top to show ships where to go)
4.temple( a building used for prayer in some regions)
5.harbour( an area of water near the land where it is safe for boats to stay)
6.impressive (making you admire something)
7.earthquake (natural disease)
8.to set fire( to make something start burning)
9.flood (natural disease)
10.envaders (occupants)
The 1st group will find the answers to the questions from 1 to 3.
The 2nd group to the questions 4 and 5.
The 3rd group to the questions 6and 7.
T:I’ll give you 4 minutes.(while students are working the classical music will be playing)

a) T: Now ,we are going to talk about the next wondres of the ancient world. You should read this text “ The Great Pyramid of Giza”and put these numbers where necessary you think, just by guessing. You have 3 minutes to do this task.( students are working by listening to the music)

b)T: We are going to get introduced with the next wonder. It is “The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus” You should read this text and make the cinquain poem.

The 2nd group with the word “wonder”
The 3rd group with the word “tomb”
You have 5 minutes. Begin working (the music is playing)

c) Now, students look at the whiteboard. There is the text about “The Hanging Gardens of Babylon “ You should read this text and translate it into your native language.

d)Now the next task is the running dictation. You should rewrite the text “The Statue of Zeus or Jupiter” (the title of the text should be written on the whiteboard) Your task to write this dictation one by one using a pen as the stick of estafeta Stand up.Begin running,good luck!

7.Practice. Speaking.Task:Imagine one of the Seven Wonders of the world could have been saved from destruction.Which one would you choose to save and why?
