The theme of the lesson: Will people live on the moon?

Form: 6

 The aims of the lesson:

  1. Educational: to activate the lexic on the theme ;to give some information about moon, to revise the words of the unit, to introduce with new vocabulary, to revise Future Simple Tense.
  2. Development: to develop speaking, listening and writing skills
  3. Brining-up: to promote interpersonal relationship of pupils.

Methods: methods of writing, methods of speaking

Forms of work: - individual work, pair work

Needs of materials: book, blackboard, additional material – posters, pictures, computer, flash-cards, song, individual cards

Plan of the lesson

The theme of the lesson: Will people live on the moon?

Form: 6

The aims of the lesson:

  1. Educational: to activate the lexic on the theme ;to give some information about moon, to revise the words of the unit, to introduce with new vocabulary, to revise Future Simple Tense.

I. Organization moment

Good afternoon pupils! How are you felling this days? Who is on duty today? Who is absent? What date is it today? What day of the week is it today?

Today we are going to speak about the things which will happen with us in the future, about the Future tense. We are going to listen to the Song about living on the moon. I think it will be very interesting. Now, let’s start.

II. Warm up activity.

And now look at the blackboard and try to remember how we use these tenses and these verbs? Present Simple - goes

Present Continuous – is going

Past Simple – went

Future Simple – will go

Your task is to find the verbs in the past simple and future simple (слайд 2)

Divide the words into two boxes (слайд 3)

Checking of the homework. Now let’s check your homework. What was your hometask? You worked on the card at home.

New lexical material. You remembered the rules of using tense. And now let’s write the new words about the living on the moon: Open your copybooks, write down the date and the theme of our lesson and write the new words.

New vocabulary

Different – различный Storey - этаж Robot - робот

Boring – скучный Channel – канал Telephone – телефон Moon – луна

Let’s repeat after me the new words

Reading. Каждому учащемуся раздается текст, необходимо раскрыть скобки в нужном времени и после прочтения текста определить верные или неверные высказывания даны после текста.


Robots say In the 500 years the world (be) different. Cities (be) very big. People ( live) in 300-storey tall buildings. People ( not work) hard. Robots (work) on farms and in factories. They (do) dirty, boring work. Children( not go) to school Computers and TV (teach) them at home. They (have) video telephones too. Some people (live) on the Moon or in space.

Post-reading (определить верные и неверные высказывания)

a) Cities will be very big.

b) There will be cities under the sea.

c) People will live in 300 –storey buildings.

d) Robots will do more work for people.

e) Children won`t go to school.

f) Computers and TV will have video telephones.

g) Robots will work on farms and in factories.

h) Some people will live on the moon or in space

Listening And now let’s listen to the song and try to understand which verbs will you hear? Song “I don’t want to live on the moon” Your task is to write the verbs in the different tenses

Giving of the homework. Children, open your diaries and write down your homework : p. 132 read the word and words combinations and ex.9C write the words in the right column.

Conclusion. You will have the stars and spaceship on your desks, choose that you like and write your impressions of the lesson! You work hard today , thank you very much! Your marks for the lessons are… The lesson is over. Goodbye!
