Topic: Canada (Revision lesson)

Object of the lesson: to introduce children with country Canada.

AIM: To revise some facts about Canada, Object pronouns and the use of some/any

Pupils will be able: a) to use object pronouns in their speech,

                                  b) to do exercises with the known vocabulary(igloo, kayaks, huskies, tool and words which describe houses or flats.                                     

Educational: to find out about subject and object pronouns.

Developing: to enrich knowledge  and vocabulary.

Brining up: to find out the culture and customs of  another country.

Equipment of the lesson: student’s book, workbook, pen, chalk, pictures, board, slides.

The procedure of the lesson

1. Organization moment.

Teacher: Hello, boys and girls! I’m glad to see you! How are you?

Pupil: I’m good, thank you!

Teacher: What day is it today?

Pupil: Today is Friday.

Teacher: Ok. You are right. What date is it today?

Pupil: Today is the 6th of March

Teacher: What is the weather like today?

Pupil: The Weather is cold(sunny, cloudy, warm, windy…) today.

Teacher: What is the temperature today?

Pupil:  the temperature is below/ above zero.

Teacher:  What season is it now?

Pupil: it’s spring now.

Teacher: What season do you like ?

Pupil:  I like summer/ autumn/ winter/ spring

Teacher: Why do you like summer/ autumn/ winter/ spring?

Pupil: because….

Teacher: where do you live? Do you live in flat?

Pupil: I live in a flat.

• Let’s do next part of exercise. Part C. Match the pictures with the names.
• Make up dialogue describing your home

For example: It hasn’t got any bedrooms. It hasn’t got any electricity. It’s got a living room. It’s got some windows.

• Listening.

 Let’s listen to Edna. which phrases describe Edna’s house  in the town? Which describe the igloo? Write (T) for town and (I) for igloos
