Цель урока: Совершенствование коммуникативных навыков и умений учащихся по теме «Посещение театра».
Задачи урока:
Обучающая: 1. ознакомление учащихся с лексикой по теме «Театр», ее семантизация и активное использование в продуктивной речевой деятельности;
2. развитие способности к распределению внимания, догадке на основе зрительной наглядности и контекста;
Развивающая: развитие навыков чтения, аудирования, говорения (в том числе спонтанного).
Воспитательная: развитие национального духа, воспитание уважения к искусству.
Оборудование: компьютер, видеопроектор
Ход урока:
I этап Ознакомление с темой, целью и задачами урока.
T: Good afternoon! I am happy to see you.
What can you see in the screen? Yes, it is. So, the theme of our lesson today is «Would you like to go to the theatre?»
II этап Warming – up.
T: We know that people are very busy today, that’s why they have very little free time. But when they have free time - what do they like to do? ( read books, watch TV, listen to music, collect some things, go to the cinema, go in for sport, etc.) And one of the most popular ways of spending free time for many people is going to the theatre.
- What about you? Do you like to go to the theatre?
- What can we see in the theatre? ( plays, performances, ballet, opera, concerts)
- What kinds of performances can we see? ( comedy, tragedy, drama, musical, etc. )
- How often do you go to the theatre?
- What theatres are there in Yakutsk?

The Sakha Drama Theatre is known not only in our Republic but abroad too.
· Whose name bears the theatre?
· When was the theatre founded? (1925)
· What famous plays did it stage? ( My Beckoning Blue Shore, The King Liar, Marriage, Nurgun Bootur the Rapid, etc.)
· Who is the main producer of the theatre?
· What famous actors do you know?

T: Visiting a theatre is an event for people. What do we do first when we decide to go to the theatre? Yes, right. We buy tickets.
Let’s look at some new words:

upper circle | верхние ряды бельэтажа | The seats in a theatre that are situated above the dress circle (picture) |
pit | задние ряды за креслами | The seats at the lowest level, or the orchestra pit (picture) |
gallery | галерка | The highest balcony in a theatre, having the cheapest seats. (picture) |
box | ложа | A small area with seats that is separate from the other seats in a theatre (picture) |
stage | сцена | The area in a theatre that is often raised above ground level and on which actors or entertainers perform (picture) |

VI этап: Выполнение упражнения на развитие умений и навыков неподготовленной речи.
1. Учитель рассказывает о визите в театр с использованием всех новых слов в последовательности.
2. P1, P2 – P9 по цепочке по одному предложению повторяют рассказ учителя.
P1, P2 повторяют весь рассказ.
( По усмотрению учителя данный рассказ можно расширить)
We enter the theatre and buy tickets in the box-office.
We can buy tickets in the stalls, gallery, dress circle, upper circle or a box.
Then we go to the cloak-room, leave our coats and take a check.
If you want, you can also take play bill and opera glasses.
An usher helps us to find our seats.
Then the lights go down, curtains go up and the performance begins.
After the first act there is usually an interval.
People go to the foyer, drink tea or coffee and discuss the performance.
After the performance the lights go up and the curtains go down.
The spectators burst into applause.
There are usually many curtain calls if we like the performance.
Then we go to the cloak-room.
We give our checks, take coats back and go home.
VII этап: Выполнение диалога “Во время антракта”
Перед вами диалог, в котором неправильно расставлены все реплики. Расставьте их по порядку и инсценируйте диалог.
1. – So you don’t have to use opera glasses.
2. – In the stalls. And where is your seat?
3. – Some scenes are dull. The cast is not very good. Do you share my opinion?
4. – Good evening, Kate! Where do you have a seat?
5. – I have been dreaming of seeing any play by Shakespeare in this country. I’ll do my best to see “Henry VIII”.
6. – In the box, close to the stage.
7. – I hope you’ll enjoy the performance.
8. – Frankly speaking I do. I advise you to see “Henry VIII” by Shakespeare in this theatre. You will be impressed.
