Цель

Совершенствовать у учащихся навыки коммуникативных, личностных и познавательных универсальных учебных действий по теме:«Cities»c использованием проектной технологии.


Учебный аспект:

- активизировать в устной речи известные обучающимся лексические единицы;

- совершенствовать умения и навыки использования лексических единиц.

- Формировать лексические навыки по страноведческой теме «города России»

- Совершенствовать умения монолога- описания с опорой на образец.

Развивающий аспект:

-формировать опыт самостоятельной деятельности;

- развивать языковые и познавательные способности, готовность к общению;

-развивать творческие способности учащихся в самостоятельной деятельности при работе с проектами.

Воспитательный аспект:

- воспитывать умение слушать друг друга;

- воспитывать основы культуры общения (толерантности и партнерского общения);

- воспитывать интерес к изучению английского языка;

Приветствие.

Good morning, boys and girls and our guests! I'm glad to see you. How are you? I hope you are well. I see your shining eyes and smile on your face. Are you ready to start our lesson? Good! Please, look at the board and these nice smile signs. This one means “I’m afraid”. This one means “I’m worried”. This one means “I’m ready for work». Can you show me the sign, which expresses your feelings?

Let`s start our English lesson.

Ok, children, answer my questions. Do you like travelling? Do you want to travel today? Look at the blackboard! You can see a lot of pictures on it.

Look at your sheets of appreciation and tell me what we will do today at the lesson?


III. Речевая зарядка (стук в дверь).

T. – Oh! Who is that?

– May I come in? (входит ученик

T. – You are welcome.

Mr. Green. – Morning, children. How do you do.

T. – Children. Let`s ask him some questions.

P1 – What is your name?

Mr. Green. – I’m John Green.

P2 – Where are you from?

Mr. Green – I’m a tourist from London. It’s very interesting for me to be here, in Russia. I’m very glad to meet you. What is the topic of your lesson?

T. – Oh! It is coded! Let us solve the crossword and you’ll see title of the topic.

№ 1 – It’s a building. We see new films there.
№ 2 – It’s a place not far from the city. We can see there many airplanes, planes and helicopters.
№ 3 – It is one of the means of transport.
№ 4 – It’s a place near house. The children like to play in it.

T. – Now. You can see, that the little of our topic is “City”.

– Is it interesting for you. Mr. Green?

Mr. Green. – Oh! It’s very interesting.

T. – Are there a lot of big cities and small towns in the world?

–class, Will you tell me the names of the cities you know? (Учащиеся называют города)

– We can see beautiful squares, streets, and avenues with modern skyscrapers in these cities, can’t we? I think you know museum, theatre, square, cinema, hospital, bank, market, shop, cathedral, and palace and so on.

– There are many places of interest in the cities. What are they famous for?

P1 – Moscow is famous for its Red Square, the Kremlin, The Bolshoi Theatre, and The Treryakov Gallery.

P2 – London – is famous for its Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, the British Museum, charming parks and theatres.

P3 – New York is famous for its skyscrapers.

P4 – St. Petersburg is famous for the Hermitage.

P5 – Washington is famous for the White house. That`s all. Thank you. Well done.

And now imagine that you`ll travel by plane. We`ll see situation at the airport……

When you leave city you must go through the passport control. (Слайд 2) let’s do the dialogue.

- Hi! How are you?

- Very well. Thanks. How are you?

- I am well. Give me your passport, please.

- What is your name?

- My name is… .

- What is your surname?

- My surname is… .

- How old are you?

- I’m 11.

- Where are you from?

- I’m from (Russia). I’m Russian.

- Have you checked in your luggage? (Слайд 3)

- Yes.

- Have a nice trip.

- Thanks.

Let’s take your seats in the airplane. Fasten your seatbelts, please. You will enjoy our travelling. (Звук взлетающего самолета) (Слайд 4)- Good morning! We are glad to see you on the board. Please turn off all personal electronic devices. Thank you for choosing Mountain Airlines. Enjoy your flight.

Ok. During our flight we will read a poem. Are you ready?

Ok. Now read the poem

Little silver airplane,
Up in the sky,
Where are you going to
Flying so high?
Over the mountains,
Over the sea,
Little silver airplane,
Please take me.

Now that`s all. We arrive. This was situation at the airport.

I have prepared some riddles for you. Please, try to guess. What is this?

Этап презентации проекта 

– We can speak much about cities. But it’s not the main task of our lesson.

– What is the main task of our lesson?

P. – The main task of our lesson is the presentation of our projects.

T. – Yes! You have prepared the projects about your cities. We have got four groups. Mr. Green, you have got a good opportunity today to visit four cities. What city do you present?

Group1 – Astana

Group2 – Moscow

Group3 – St` Petersburg

Group 4 – Kurgan

T. – Now we`ll learn some interesting facts about cities. (на доске…)

Look at the blackboard. You can see plan

– What kind of city is it?

– What is it famous for?

– What places of interest are there in your city?

T. – Who will start? I think our brave boys will be the first.

IV. Защита проектов.

Astana

Last summer we were in Astana. It is a super city. It is famous for its different modern buildings, parks and cinemas shops and so on. We can see some sights and we can tell about in. So ….

Задания классу.

– We can see many sings in the city. What do they mean? (Показывают различные знаки, учащиеся угадывают, что они обозначают).

– To my mind, it’s bank.

– I think, it’s a café.

Mr. Green. – What are the main kinds of buses in London? (the red single-decker, the red double-decker).

Moscow( Представляют город в форме экскурсии по городу).

P1 – Hello! Nice to see you, ladies and gentlemen. I welcome you to Moscow. My name is Kostya. I’m a guide and let us go on a sightseeing tour of our town. Take your places in our tour bus, please. Are you ready? (Занимают места в автобусе).

– Oh! Yes. (Поют хором).

We go, go, go by tour, tour bus
We want to go sightseeing
With our friendly class.

p.  – Our city is very large. Moscow is the capital of Russia. It's wonderful places of interest are visited by a lot of people every day. Look to the left. You can see…

P – (показывает рисунок ). The Kremlin is the historical, spiritual and political heart оf Moscow and the city's most famous sight. It is situated in the very center of Moscow. It is the oldest part of the city, here Russian tsars resided and Russian emperors had been crowned. The Kremlin is a magnificent architectural ensemble with its monumental walls and towers, golden-domed cathedrals and ancient palaces. It serves as the official residence of the President of Russia.

P – look to the right.

P – . Red Square is a heart of Moscow. For many centuries Red Square has served as the place for important historical events. It was founded at the end of the15th century. Red Square is often considered the central square of Moscow and all of Russia. The square itself is around 330 meters long and 70 meters wide.

P – Now we are coming to our cathedral. St. Basil's Cathedral is one of the most outstanding monuments of Old Russian architecture. It was built on the order of Ivan the Terrible to commemorate the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan. It was the tallest building in Moscow until the completion of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower in 1600.

P1 – And now in front of you can see Ostankino Tower

Is the tallest tower in Europe and the 4th tallest building in the world. It was built in Moscow in 1967. Besides technical services, there is a sightseeing platform and a three-level restaurant «The Seventh Sky».

The Bolshoi Theatre was built in 1824. It was the second biggest theatre in the world. The Bolshoi Ballet and Bolshoi Opera are among the oldest and most renowned ballet and opera companies in the world. The theatre is the parent company of The Bolshoi Ballet Academy, a world-leading school of ballet.

Pushkin monument is installed in the Pushkinskaya Square. The monument was built in 1880. It was the first monument to the poet in Russia. The monument is standing in the center of Moscow, and this is the place where lovers like to date; here different politicians hold meetings, and poetry-lovers arrange improvised concerts.

P1 – Our tour has finished. Thank you and good bye. I’m very pleased to see you.

Mr. Green – Oh, it’s very interesting. In England we have got Greentown too, it’s not far from London. It looks like your town.

The third group represent St` Petersburg

P1 –You are welcome to our Magic City. I am the chief architect. This is the map of our city. Magic City is a city for entertainment. St Peter and Paul Cathedral was the main church of the city. In 1725 Peter I was buried there.

Summer gardens

In 1704 The Summer Gardens was laid after the idea of Peter I. There were some fountains, sculptures, rare trees and flowers at his “paradise”.

. We have got many theatres, art galleries, museums in the city. St Petersburg has over 100 working museums. They are The Hermitage, The State Russian Museum, the Kunstkamera, and many others.


I can recommend the State Hermitage is one of greatest museums in the world. It consists of five historical buildings, including Winter Palace – the residence of Russian tsars. There are about 3 million monuments of culture and art of the European and Oriental peoples.

St. Petersburg is famous for its cathedrals and churches.

It overlooks Nevsky Avenue with its Northern facade.

P – We have got many playgrounds and they are fantastic. There are a lot of attractions there.

I love my city

Its streets are clean and pretty.

Green parks and squares

Are nice and neat.

A lot of kind people

Everyone can here meet.

I sing a song to honour you!

You are the best from all points of view!!!!

Group 4. Kurgan

Представляют свой коллаж о Kургане

This is our native city.

P1 – We are fond of our city. Kurgan was founded in 1679. The population of kurgan nearly 360000 people. It has a long and interesting history. It stands on the banks of the Tobol river.

P2 – Kurgan is an industrial centre. There are many factories and plants in Kurgan. They produce machines, irrigation machines and so on; Kurgan is a large scientific and educational centre. There are universities and institutes and schools.

P1 – Kurgan is a cultural centre. There are theatres, a philharmonic, cinemas, libraries, parks in Kurgan.

P3 – one of the most beautiful places of the Kurgan is named after the Winners Square. Here, among neatly trimmed trees and lawns in 1985 was erected a sculptural composition, which became one of the business cards of the city.

One of the symbols of the Кurgan is a monument to the native of the city Leonid Krasin. It is set on a hill near the shore of Tobol. The bronze figure of Krasin, considered the first Soviet diplomat.

I think my city is famous for its ancient churches. So my native city is a nice place to live in. I like it very much.

T. – I’d like to say a few words in contusion. I’m so pleased with your projects. They were very interesting and lovely. Well done!
