The theme : Stories about plants Aims of the lesson: 1. To enrich pupils knowledge, to develop pupils abilities in speech, to enrich their vocabulary. 2. To develop their reading writing listening, kills and grammar lexical habits. 3. To give the pupils’ some information about flowers, to bring up them to protect flowers. The type of lesson: traditional Inter- subject connection: biology, kazakh language. Methods of teaching: training, demonstration , brainstorming , explanation, interaction , question. The equipment of the lesson: a.Visual aids : cards, tasks, pictures of different flowers. b. Technical aids: computer .
The procedure of the lesson: I Organization moment: A) Greeting:
T: Good morning children !
How are you today? B)Asking about the dates, absentees, etc
Who is on duty today?
Is anybody absent?
II Checking up the home assignment: T: What was your home task for today? Did I give you anything?
P: Our home task was: exercise 14, 15 p 45. Ask to each other the last theme, words.
Last theme: “Life in the desert”. New words.
III New theme of the lesson:
First of all, look at the blackboard. There are questions. Giving the answers you find some picture. Now, let’s answer. Who wants to answer?
There are a lot of plants on the Earth. Can you name some of them?
P1: Yes, I can. They are roses, tulips, lilies, daffodils, forget-me-nots.
Why do people grow flowers?
P2: Flowers are beautiful.
P3: Many flowers and plants are useful.
Now, you see beautiful flower. What flower is it? It is a rose.
Below are the English names and pictures of three popular flowers. Can you match the names to the pictures? Do you know the Kazakh names of the flowers in the pictures?

The flower got its name in a funny way. Its each leaf looks like a row of teeth. The people of France gave the name dent' de lion. It means lion's teeth.

Snowdrop - жауқазын - подснежник. It is the flower for January. It is white as snow, it appears in forests and gardens. This plant is a native flower of Europe. 2. Primerose - первоцвет, is the flower for February. It can be white, yellow, red, pink, purple and orange. The flowers look like stars. It is the earliest spring flower. 3. Daffodil - the month of March is the daffodil. It appears very early in spring too. The flowers are usually white or yellow. 4. Daisies - маргаритка -(дәстүргүл). You can see them everywhere in the fields, gardens and even roadsides. 5. Hawthorn - боярышник -(долана) is the flower for May. It grows in a small three and it blossoms with pink, white or red flowers. 6. Honeysuckle - жимолость -(ырғақ) is June’s flower. 7. Water lilies - кувшинка - is July’s flower. 8. Poppy - мак -(көкнар) is the flower for August. Poppies are white, red or yellow. They look like cups. They often grow wild in the mountains. 9. Morning glory - вьюн -(шырмауық) is September’s flower. It is climbing plant with white, blue or purple blossoms. The morning glory has sweet smell and can grow wild. 10. Hop - хмель -(құлмақ) is the flower for October. People use it to make, beer. It is climbing plant which often decorates country houses. 11. Chrysanthemum – хризантема. It is one of the oldest known flowers. It has grown in Japan for nearly two thousand years and is the national flower and the emblem of this island country. 12. Holly is the flower of December. It is the flower of Christmas season.
