Тема: «My school»

Цель урока: обобщение и систематизация лексико-грамматических  знаний по теме «My school».

Задачи:

1. Повторение и обобщение лексического материала по темам “Time”, “Subjects”, “Days of the week”, “School”; совершенствование навыков говорения, диалогической речи, аудирования, письма.

2. Развитие способностей к соотнесению; развитие языковой догадки по аналогии с родным языком; развитие способности к логическому изложению; развитие памяти и внимания.

3. Формирование познавательных  и коммуникативных потребностей; формирование положительной мотивации к учению; воспитание командного духа и чувства взаимовыручки.

Тип урока: обобщения и систематизации знаний.

Методы и приёмы: наглядные (демонстрация, показ),  словесные (беседа, обсуждение, поощрение), упражнение, повторение, частично-поисковый метод.

Оборудование: интерактивная доска, проектор, презентация, УМК «Spotlight 5», цветные карточки для самооценки, задания на соотнесение, шаблон диалога, творческие работы учащихся, карты-шаблоны для заполнения расписания, портфеля, классной комнаты, фломастеры,

Ход урока

I Орг.момент: Greetings. Warming up activities.

T: Good morning, children!I am glad to see you! How are you? What date is it today?

• What day of the week is it today?

• What`s the weather like today?

Ученик P1: I think it is something connected with school.

 T: You are right! Today the theme of our lesson is “My school”, we'll continue our work on this topic.

Now tell me please what are your associations with the word “school”? (What do you associate school with?) 

P2: When I think of school I imagine my classrooms, my teachers, classmates. (I remember school objects and subjects; our head-master, school canteen with its pizzas, pies and vatrushkas, etc.) 

T: Thank you children! You are right!

My name is John. I am 11 years old. I study in the 5^th form. I like to go to school. My school is new and comfortable. We have got a  lot  of  interesting   school subjects : Russian, English, Literature, Maths, History, Art, P.E., Geography, Science and Music. My favourite subjects are PE and History. There is  a  large  sportsground  near  my  school. Also  you  can see  a lot of  classrooms ,  a dining-room, a gym  and  a school hall. I like my school very much because it is the best in my city.

And what about you? What kind of school do you have? Is your school big and modern? Do you like to go to school? What form are you in? How many subjects do you have this year? What is your favourite subject?
