Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

1. Приветствие

Good morning, children! Glad to see you at my lesson. Do you get nervous when a black cat walks in front of you? Look at the blackboard and name the topic of our lesson.

2. Объяснение темы и цели урока.

Today we’ll speak about different superstitions in clothes. Let’s start our lesson.

II. Основная часть урока

1. It's time to do some exercises in order to recall some words.

I. Make my sentence longer:

Choose the possible answer:

2. Let’s talk about superstitions in clothes. Look at the blackboard and name them.

Pupil 1. This is an old superstition found many places around the world. Wearing clothes with polka dots is said to attract wealth. Women who feel the urge to attract more money need to choose to wear clothing with polka dots. This works for men equally as well. Men should include polka dots in their wardrobe to attract wealth.

Pupil 2. Keep Your Dreams Alive

Choose clothes or accessories that remind you of your wishes and dreams. Try to find your lucky clothes that will keep your dreams alive and remind you about them every time you wear them. This might just work wonders!

For example if you dream of travelling abroad, choose clothes or accessories with map images.

Pupil 3.  Wear something blue

Many believe blue is the lucky color to attract success. Blue is the color of the sky and heavens. Wearing blue symbolizes looking up towards endless possibilities. We all know a traditional bride should wear something blue for luck.

Pupil 4. Never ever place shoes on a table or on a bed. It is very bad luck. You can expect to get involved in a bad quarrel.

Pupil 5. If you receive a pair of shoes you must immediately give a coin back to the person who gifted you the shoes. If you do not give a coin, one of you will soon walk away from the relationship.

Pupil 6. Wear new clothes

It is believed that if you wear new clothes on the first day of the year, you will get many more new clothes during the year. People prefer to wear red clothes because they feel red is a colour which symbolizes happiness and a bright future.

Between 4 and 12: You are a practical person. You don’t believe in things other people do. But you probably wouldn’t be happy to sit for an important exam on Friday 13^th.

Between 12 and 24: For you, the superstitious of day may well be the fact of tomorrow. You probably believe in horoscope, palmistry and ghosts.
