Activity to revise the vocabulary from the previous lesson.) Activity1

Teacher divides the class into two groups,

Teacher gives to Pupils The box of flashcards with pictures of verbs to skip, to jump, to dance, to sing , trumpet, drum, guitar, recorder, piano. Pupils take from the box pictures and say what this word is. At the end of the game one Pupils of a group count their “stars” which group gets more smile, that group is a winner.

Present and practice

(activities to present and activate the new language.)

Activity 2. Presenting new words

Teacher shows the slides of commands on the active blackboard, one at a time and name them. Pupils repeat chorally or / and individually. Points to each item in random order. Asks individual pupils to say the word. Ask the rest of the class for verification. Watching the video.



Let’s listen!

Set the scene by asking the pupils questions about what they can see in the pictures.

e.g.

T: Can little bird clap hands?

P: No, it can’t

T: Can bird fly?

P: Yes it can.etc…

Play the CD.


Teacher demonstrates slides of using modal verb can and can’t, using visual at board.

Then she practices new material asking questions like

-Dogs can (can’t) fly….

-Can you dance? Pupils should give right answers –Yes , I can or No, I can’t


Sing a song “Head, shoulders, knees and toes”



Pupils make dialogue using modal verb can or can’t and words from cards and new vocabulary of the lesson



Guess the word.

Teacher gives each pupil cards with pictures with words, they should write missing letter and say to the class.


Repeat new words with movements.

I can skip…I can climb…
