Theme: “Shopping. Food and drinks”
Aims of the lesson - to develop skills and habits of orall speech, to encourage students to stimulate them to give their own opinions and participate in the discussions and role plays, to practice the four language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Tasks of the lesson:
Educational tasks - development of skills and habits of speaking, reading, writing.
Developing tasks - development of motivation for learning English, intelligence, memory, attention and imagination.
Bringing up tasks - to create conditions for forming clear knowledge about healthy food, to teach students to work in pairs, groups, to teach to care for health.
Aids: computer, tape recorder, CD disks, cards with tasks, pictures.
Procedure of the lesson:
I. Organization moment.

II. Consolidation of the vocabulary.
Вкуснотища – very good
Пищу называют food
Это вовсе не каприз,
Сыр мы называем cheese
Мясо жарится, шкварчит
Мясо по-английски – meat
Арбуз предпочитают сливам,
Арбуз иначе water – melon
Узнали все впервые, что груша – это pear
Масло нужно всем ребятам,
Масло по-английски – butter
Без соли борщ не лезет в рот
Соль по-английски – просто salt
Ведро воды не принесёте?
Вода, водичка будет – water
Слива тут и слива там
Слива по-английски – plum.
Виноград мы съели весь.
Виноград – иначе grape.
III. Listen to the rhyme and repeat after me.

2. Do you like yogurt? Yes, I do. No, I don’t.
3. Do you like pizza? Yes, I do. No, I don’t
4. Do you like cookies? Yes, I do. No, I don’t.
5. Do you like soup? Yes, I do. No, I don’t.
VI. Find the words. Read and match them with the pictures.
Food: sugar, bread, egg, cereal, cheese.
Drinks: coffee, tea, milk, juice.
VII. “My favourite food”.
Children, tell me please, which is your favourite food?
Make a list of 6 names of food which you like most of all.
You came from the shop, you bought products. Now, let’s prepare salads:
1) you will prepare a fruit salad, 2) you will prepare a vegetable salad. Salad will be ready when you will name 4- 5 fruits or vegetables.
XI. Solve the crossword.
