Цели и задачи урока
Образовательные задачи:

Развивать у учащихся навыки аудирования. Учить детей самостоятельно решать проблемы на базе изученной лексики по теме. Обучать детей делать выводы и обобщения по основным проблемам темы.

Dear friends, today we have our conclusion lesson on the topic “Ecology”. We shall discuss many important problems connected with our topic. You know how dangerous the ecological situation of our Earth is. But first of all let’s find out what is it Ecology and environment.
P.1 Ecology is the science of how living things are related to their environment. The word “ecology” came from the Greek which means “home”. This idea of “home” includes the whole planet of ours. We must protect our planet from littering, air pollution, water pollution, destruction of natural resources.
P.2 The environment as it is known is all living and non – living things that surround us. They are animals and birds, woods and forests, air and water, land and atmosphere.

IX READING
For a long time too little attention was paid to the environment. Today the situation is quite different. People all over the world are worried about what is happening to the environment. Newspapers and magazines write about water pollution, air pollution and soil pollution.
The Earth is in danger
We know the words “the world around us” have many meanings, but first of all the Earth with it’s people and nature. We see before us many things such as large lands and mountains, woods and rivers, blue or cloudy sky, the sun rising or setting on the Earth. We certainly think about living beings such as animals, birds and plants. We see the whole beautiful world before us.
There are many seas, lakes and rivers on the Earth. We know that water is a source of life on the Earth. People, animals, birds and other living beings are not able to live without water. Water is necessary for all living beings.
The other important problem is air pollution. Cars and factories destroy the ozone layer and pollute the air we breathe.
Another actual problem is that our forests are dying out from acid rain which affects the balance of nature. And also we should point out the damage to wildlife: numerous species of animals and plants can disappear.
If we are unable to learn to use the environment carefully and protect it from damage caused by man’s activities, very soon we’ll have no world to live in.
