II.Warm-up.
T: What date is it today? What day of the week is it today?
T: How are you today?
T: Do you like the weather today?
T: Do you agree that our planet is very beautiful?
T: But look at our planet. Is it happy?
T: Why isn’t it smiling? What problems does it have?
T: Yes. You are right. Today we’ll discuss very important problems. You know that our planet and many animals are in danger today. We’ll speak about disappearing animals and try to find ways to protect them and save our planet.
T: The theme of our lesson is Our planet is in danger.
T: Look at the epigraph of our lesson. What do you think about this quotation? Do you agree with it?

T: Look at the fourth slide. You can see an ecological tree and many problems around it. Sound up the problems, please.
T: Let’s train our ecological vocabulary. Give the definitions.
Ecology, environment, conservation, rainforests, habitat, living things, overcrowding, destruction, pollution.
T: Agree or disagree.

IV.Reading.
T: You know that many animals are in danger. Many of them are disappearing. Let’s read the text “Animals in danger”.

IX.Reflection.
T:Make up cinquains about our nature, about environment in groups of four. All your cinquains will be different. Read aloud them when you are ready.
X.Conclusion.
T: Let everybody remember – we have only one Earth. And it is our challenge to keep it clean and healthy for us and for future generations. The Earth is our home. What should we do to help our planet? You have tree’s leaves. Let’s make a green tree. Write please on your leaves how we can help the environment. Use the modal verb “should” in your sentences.
T: Thank you, pupils. Now I see that you know what we must do to protect our planet. I think that now our planet is happy.
XI.Hometask.
T: Your hometask will be to make a report about the pollution of the environment in our region.
XII.Giving marks.
At the end of the lesson a pupil recite the poem “A child’s wish”.
